Drinking while driving

kr79:
Beer is a bit uncouth i think a martini would be better although making it while driving could be hazardous.

Splendid idea sir. With the state of the roads these days it would have to be “shaken not stirred” tho.
I wonder if BP garages will start selling olives??

If I saw any motorist drinking behind the wheel and it was absolutly clear it was alcohol (difficult with some products) I would report them

I regularly have a can on a fri night heading to the boat it helps me relax and prepare for the weekend it’s nice along with a joint.

Being The lucky driver of a of top the range lorry my Volvo came with the special optional extra cocktail cabinet. A nice cool cocktail whilst driving certainly takes the edge off a stressful day. In fact I think I’ll have a negroni now, once I put the phone down that is, I can’t drive, post on forums and make cocktails, even if I am the best driver in the world.

what about if they were drinking a bottle of water or tucking into their sarnie? exactly the same thing.

Provided they aren’t all over the road (drunk) whats the difference?

I thought with a truck like that it would come with a butler to mix you a Singapore sling as you trundle the highway.

As a few people have got a bit over excited I’m let you know the reason I asked.
On the way home from work the other day I was driving along and the person in the next car was drinking a can of beer.

Some of the energy drink cans can be mistaken for high volume polish lagers at a glance,i once saw a bloke drinking a can that was in a sock,im guessing that was lager

This was certainly beer. What is it about drinking booze from a brown paper bag?

Bit off topic but when I used to drive coaches in the 80’s for siesta International et al, we would pull up to the first pick up point, the second driver and I would be swigging from a whiskey bottle and appearing very drunk! The hostess stood at the open centre door shaking her head and rolling her eyes at the passengers who looked terrified and gobsmacked. Of course she would inform them that those two idiots (us drivers) had poured IRON BREW into empty whiskey bottles and your in for a laugh with those two! Good old days In 8 years there was only one person who could not get the joke and complained, guess what? he worked for the ministry of transport

You’re not as valued as you think. My lorry came with a butler
