Spent some time this morning chatting to a Continental Express driver while having breakfast in Morrisons in gib. He was telling me that they couldn’t get british drivers to do the job so they were taking on poles. I was amazed, i would of thought it was every young drivers dream job, maybe not for the rest of your life but while your young it’s got to be better that bashing around the M25 has’nt it ?.
The reason i would think is wages. If you look into it you will probably find the poles are working for peanuts.

Definatly not everyones cup of tea but if you want to get the all important “two years experience” under your belt then may be its worth suffering.

Hi,i have an interveiw on wednesday with them, but not sure about the double manning !!!
Double Manning is a very difficult job, and I wouldnt do it for a grand a week. it starts off ok but after 3 weeks or a month eveything you do, or your mate does will wrankle, Even good mates will fall out and need time on their own

£10.50 for most makes of UK ■■■■ in Gib.
you can only bring 1x200 ciggies from GIB
How ever from spain the limit is up to 3200
as they are from the eu AND YOU HAVE PAID
TAX already.

apparently
A word of warning - the Guardia Civil on the border at Gib can be extremely thorough when searching Brit / Gib registered vehicles entering Spain, particularly when the Brits have parked one of their nuclear subs in Gib, they dont like em!! If you are caught over the limit with cigs etc… they wont think twice about impounding your vehicle or even confiscating it, and beleive me they can be a rule unto themselves if riled.
