No, he said he had a flat bed, oh wait, he probably took the wrong trailer

I think the writing on the front of the AXOR would indicate it’s not me ,i do pull blue d/d but only with g- cab scanias so again not me ,they also give me risk assessments from I.e tee -port - Lichfield, purfleet,Peterborough etc whenever I do trunk run with d/d so other than tesco purfleet where I had too run round and find someone too confirm the d/d went through / under the hole in wall I’ve been fine finding my way round .
Not on flat beds yet as no straps so I’m led too believe ,on general but changes on a daily basis so could be on anything this week ,but if anything happens ,have no doubt it will be everyone’s fault bar mine

Had bigger through there drive…

Let’s face it if we’re honest we all fok-up sometimes, had a similar narrow squeak last year but managed to ease through with all paintwork intact.

We don’t know what signage if any was further up the road where the truck came from. In my travels I’ve gone down a few roads to find the odd bridge only signposted once you’ve got to it.

Not me, mine had a cyclist on the nearside between the pillar and my wheel

Clearly not the drivers fault,he’s successfully negotiated a 3T bridge and some ■■■■ decides to put signs up to stop him getting out.

They are bending you over with that BS mate. No worldwide shortage of ratchet straps.
Try any Screwfix.

I reckon it’s that ‘desypete’ Coz it’s an artic and you would never catch a Class C rigid driver doing anything that stupid

Regards
Dave Penn;

plenty of room if he’d kept it straight!

Those bollards are designed to bend out the way… when 40 tonne goes over them.

Maybe he thought he had to have 3t on the back to qualify…

“This empty truck should fit down this short cut road - no problem!”

As it’s over 12 months ago I think it’s safe to 'fess up.
I went the wrong way down a road near one of our depots intending to turn around at the first opportunity. There were no signs saying the road was unsuitable for my truck, but the road got slowly narrower.
I could find no suitable place to turn around and after over a mile I thought it’s too far to reverse back so I’ll have to stick with it.
At the end of the road before it joined a major road was an old narrow stone bridge over a small stream, definitely no signs giving any restrictions. I crossed the bridge and looked in my mirrors after I’d passed and wondered what the colourful signs were behind me.
I stopped and looked back, and saw two signs, one said, “Caution weak bridge”, the other was a 3.5 tonne weight limit!
I ■■■■ myself and wondered how I’d missed the signs when approaching the bridge, but didn’t hang about but got out of the area rapido!
I was worried about this because I’d had a queue of cars behind me for some time before crossing the bridge, and they’d followed behind me, I thought it only needs one to grass me up and that’s it.
When I got home I went onto Google Earth and travelled down the same road, in the direction I’d travelled, THERE WAS NO ■■■■■■■ SIGNS on the approach to the bridge, but there were these restrictions on the other side.
In over twelve months I’ve heard nowt, so assume I’ve got away with it, thank ■■■■ I was empty at the time!

Had similar experience, new road restriction, so not on maps or satnag and no signs until the restriction itself :unamused:
