The problem being that it’s more a case of the lose lose situation of big business minimising wage levels. Therefore removal of the ‘ability’ of the general population to ‘pay’ enough tax ( or insurance premiums in the case of the US system ).While also minimising the tax exposure of the resulting higher corporate profits. In addition to the local over loading of services,in this case the NHS,as part of that labour cost minimisation scam in the form of immigration.I sense a thread hijack!
What’s your problem with what I said there.

How would you differentiate between “over-loading of services” and, say, “under-investment in services” ?
Seems to me the current obsession with lower taxes is guilty of cutting the true standard of living of ALL of us. The few extra quid in your bank, wont pay for a new hospital bed when your loved ones are on a waiting list. Whatever happened to Cameron
s “Happiness Index” or whatever it was called?
As you rightly say (I think you`re saying) if a company makes excessive profit from underpaying employees then they should be taxed more aggressively to make up in corporate taxes, that lost income tax.
If we’re increasing population levels through immigration with the aim of reducing wage levels and thereby tax revenues that by definition means both local overloading, caused by that higher artificially increased foreign immigrant population ‘and’ under investment caused by the lost tax revenues.
While in the global free market there’s no way to enforce taxation on the extra profits to compensate because we can’t tie the big multi nationals or the banks down to any particular operating base. With at best those profits being invested by the multi national banks offshore for their clients to avoid tax.
With the NHS being doomed from day 1 because it’s just a flawed Socialist attempt to deal with the ‘symptoms’ of low wages which don’t cover health and other social costs like retirement. Not the cause which is the low wage itself.Realistically if the CBI aren’t prepared to pay for decent health cover and retirement then we’re stuffed and just calling it a tax based system like social security and the NHS won’t change that fact. While ironically actually having the opposite result in actually being easier for the government and its CBI rulers to control and ration.Which is what we’re seeing now.
