I’m agency so have developed my own ‘uniform’, short sleeved blue shirt black trousers and black safety shoes.
If I worked for a company I’d be ok wearing it as long as it didn’t hurt the eyes or make me look like one of santa’s helpers

We have a company uniform although their not overly fussy so long as you have hi viz and steelies on. I wear my own cargo trousers as prefer them to the company ones. Forgot my waterproof jacket the otherday when it was ■■■■■■■ down so wore my hoody, non company baseball cap and hi viz vest ive known one driver wear a wife beater in the summer if the weather is hot, kinda know the drops we can get away with out being reported
I wear one, it keeps me in my place and reminds my bosses that they own my ■■■… Apparently :-/
Yes, although ive bought extra combat trousers as 2 pairs that were supplied are not enough for a set of 4-6 shifts. I tend to wear my jacket outside of work. Dont see why not i didnt have to pay for it!
Cheers
Jonny
overalls wi all the refletive Xs and bands and a waistcoat wi a led light on it!
if a driver from same company cant see my 70ft outfit parked up in a quarry and reverses into it!
i need all the help i can get.
jimmy
i wear a uniform reluctantly. we get the cheapest nastiest work trousers, made from the thinnest nylon money can buy, and the shirts aren;t too bad, i’d love to wear my own decent trousers from my last job, but you get sent home for the week if seen out of uniform

What’s wrong with the usual agency attire, desert rat boots, jeans (ripped are optional) dirty hi-viz coat and bobble hat.
I have to wear a badge with my name on.
I get issued a uniform, and wear it with pride.
Can’t see the point of wearing your own clothes when the company issue them.
yes, and it’s very smart as well.
Sort of uniform if you count a polo shirt, a range of coats and a stupid cap which I refuse to wear as I think trucking and baseball hats a riddiculous.
They have some strange sort of fasion here in which they will wear a short sleeved shirt over a long sleeved shirt in cooler weather.
Yes a lovely green shirt and black trousers. All made of the cheapest possible products.
Optional at the moment but meant to becoming policy whennew kit is sourced. We’re given airtex shirts which are not great quality you sweat easily and they get very course with age. Got Fruit of the Loom style jumpers which look like they were bought of an Asian at Finmere market too.
The shirts make great rag for cleaning though.
i don’t wear a uniform, but i wouldn’t mind at all (free clothes).
it’d have to look right though. one firm i worked at wanted to take away my comfy overalls and dress me in this purple and yellow outfit. i’m not dressing like a clown for anyone, unless it’s ■■■■■■.
I don’t wear one at work, but when off duty I like to wear a uniform I blagged off a Firmin driver years ago. I normally wear it when I’m going to the pubs and clubs around town. To be honest the results are a little disappointing really. I’m sure the ex told me that girls were a sucker for a man in a Firmins uniform!

For you or the clown?
ADR tried to get me wearing their uniform last year and even offered me the discounted price of £40. i politely told them to shove it as i do not work for them. i work for my company and i have my own company uniform which has more items than what they offered. plus it certainly isnt the cheapest i could find. the wet/winter weather jacket alone was over £80 and even then i had to buy the hood for it
I do but had to buy my own saftey boots!
Well in the respect of uniforms, We drivers at Robinsons get our uniform provided. Ok I would not of gone out and purchased Pink Polo Shirts, But that said they do add to the company image - which is one of er… Pink. It does fill you with a certain proud feeling when you are smartly dressed turning up to customers premises both Home and Abroad. Like others have said, It IS FREE clothing. The boots arent up to much as they lack Ankle support, requird by Cemex in particular, but I dont see that as too much of an inconvenience. I must look into getting tax back on my washing bills, as being in the Bulk Haulage game, means the costs are relatively high.
