Do you try to take a sneaky 15 min break at the pumps?

this has happened to me vosa has checked my fuel reciepts against my taco to make sure that the time on the fuel reciept matches other work on the taco so i do not take a break while i am fuelin up

What happens if the clock in the till is different to the one in your tacho?

Yep, I took a 15 on the pumps last night. However, I sat in the cab after I’d been to the shop and if the situation arose that I’d have kept another driver waiting for fuel then I’d have started up and gone somewhere else. No harm done in the end, never even saw another driver aside from the ones parked all over with the curtains closed.

No big deal is it?

yes. not only that we have that new digi tacho instaled in our trucks and u can get youre breaks in q’s. just move forward so much, easy 2 judge n the put it back on break every time it stays on break its great. also we save about 45 mins aday in driving time. works really well 4 us who r on % of the waggon ernings. we can now do between 3 n 5 jobs extra a week. and also work weekends again.

Says he who begrudges waiting for someone who’s so busting to take a leak he can’t walk that far. How you can use the word ■■■■ and preach about consideration for others in the same post is quite frankly beyond me. Talk about stirring up hatred on the internet. It takes a real tough guy to pick on the aged and the disabled. It strikes me as odd that with so many capable people on benefits all these years unwilling to lift a finger to contribute anything to society that theres people around who are so eager to pour scorn on the people who manage to do the same job as they do despite their infirmities. Why can’t some of you just grow up, show a little more respect for your elders and have a little more tolerance for people who have been less fortunate in life than what you possibly have? This thread makes me sick to the stomach.

Stirring up hatred? Victimise the vunerable? Do get a grip of yourself. :unamused:
What can I do about it? If you want to set up camp on the pumps (as often, you do), then away you go. The thread asked about the subject, I gave my opinion.

If there are 50 pumps, and you want to go to sleep on one, then away you go, as long you don’t delay others, I couldn’t give a toss about anyone breaking the tacho rules or whatever, but when somebody thinks it’s okay to fuel up, take a dump, do a weekly shop, mince about checking lights, chat to the cashier, polish the fuel tank, clean the cab, when there is only one pump open, then …

Yes I begrudge it, matters not how old you are, if you are acting like a selfish twit, I will tell you. What surprises me so frequently, is how people completely fail to consider others (as I said). Pull up go for a leak, then fuel up. Or fuel up, pull off the pumps, then go for a leak.

My grandad, living in a care home, suffers from incontinence. I know the intimate details of how it works. I regularly run races in aid of raising money for charity to help those in such a position. So don’t you dare lecture me.

Being able to hold it for 50 miles to the next services, then not being able to hold it for 60 seconds while you park up and walk to the toilets, use a cash machine, order a coffee, eat a pasty. It’s a nonsense.

I have no objection if said driver infront after paying needs to visit oblutions or the coffee machine, its all par for the course.

I don’t agree, it isn’t par for the course. It isn’t even cricket. It’s just selfish. They should pay asap, and move, then do the rest of their ■■■■■■■■ around when they aren’t holding anyone else up.
