Do you like working?

Not specifically in your job, but in general. I’ve always loved working, I think I’m lucky in that respect.

Finding it quite difficult to get any enjoyment from it lately.

Depends entirely on what the job is.

Always enjoyed my work on the whole.
Although I don’t like being away from my family I do need some structure to my week.

Cheers

I enjoy working and being out on the road, apart from when you come
across some ■■■ when ya trying to do a delivery.
But even then just smile and move on

i like working abroad. but can’t stand the tossers in the uk.

I’m currently in a office job, Mon-Fri(occasional weekend work 2-3 hours) 37 hours per week flexi-time. I always have Fri afternoons off, get 33 days leave per year not including bank holidays, local government pension, full pay for 6 months if I’m off sick and paid well. I am well ■■■■■■ off with it at the minute, yearning to get back driving. I may be mad but I am just not happy. I do a bit on the agency’s and for friends to keep my hand in but still want to come back to it full time.

Yep
Did and do a lot for free, just not in the Company

I am only happy with constant change in nearly every aspect of my life.
If I enjoy something, I do it, that can include work. If I dont enjoy it, I dont do it again, this includes work.
I am here once, for a good time, not a long time, so enjoyment and new experiences are the most important for me…This can also include work.
I do not see work as others see it, as I do not like the word ‘work’, it has too many negative associations to it for my liking.

I know what you mean. I was in a very cushy job until recently. It truly was easy, but as LimeyPhil points out above, it’s the people. They truly were the most miserable shower of moaners I’ve ever met.

I wish I’d written that!  Couldn’t agree more.

Same as that.

I don’t mind my job but I only do it so I have enough money to do things I enjoy in my spare time.

I hate working at the moment. Work as a dental nurse, basically a glorified scivy. My boss has no respect for us nurses whatsoever. Doesnt even acknowledge me most days. Cant even go to the toilet without being moaned at. Only 20 days holiday and not allowed holidays in december but the receptionist is? I cant wait till im out of there driving.

Love working, even to the point that I get very bored on Bank Holidays! Having said that, the job I do at the moment has become very repetitive, and there are too many people who can’t be arsed to do their own job, so tend to try to slope it off in my direction. Very much looking forward to a change of career, even if only on a part-time basis to start with!

I like progressive working - that is, getting myself ahead by my own efforts.

I don’t like the kind of work where you are expected to do the first two-thirds for the benefit of someone else - ie only taking home about a third of your usual pay.

Working 48 hour paid week, 84 hours including unpaid POA = :imp: :imp: :imp: :imp:
Working 40 hour week, 35 hours without the breaks, but paid for 48 on a job & knock basis =

Depends entirely on what the job is.

True…

It only becomes work when you don’t enjoy it for example, max hours sleeping on the side of the road living on tinned food = work.

Sensible hours for example 50 a week over five days driving trucks that are not run for profit = not work.

It all depends what you consider to be enjoyable, as the saying goes if you do a job you like you never work a day in your life.
I have never worked with a group of people who moaned so much about a pish easy job as truck drivers.
