Much happier now i have a job with sensible hours, after all the years of the past of doing two weeks work in every soddin week i’ve at last got a proper life again, with time free to enjoy it.
So yes i am happy working, cos at the end of shift of fair and reasonable hours for a good days pay for a decent company i go home, and home is my only destination.
Couldn’t live in a tin can again, staggering across stinking service areas to get a wash in the morning after trying vainly to sleep with bloody fridges and night trunkers making as much noise as they can…stick that where the bloody sun don’t shine…hated every second.
It’s such a gift if you enjoy your job. Nothing worse than psyching yourself up just to drag yourself out of bed in the morning to go in to do a job you just can’t be arsed with.

I hate working at the moment. Work as a dental nurse, basically a glorified scivy. My boss has no respect for us nurses whatsoever. Doesnt even acknowledge me most days. Cant even go to the toilet without being moaned at. Only 20 days holiday and not allowed holidays in december but the receptionist is? I cant wait till im out of there driving.

I’ve been out of work for 4 months and its been the worst 4 months of my life! Back to work tomorrow at long last and I cant wait to get started!!!
i am of the work to live not live to work ethic but that doesnt mean i dont or wont work hard. i have had some great jobs and some terrible ones too for me most of my better jobs its been the people i worked with that have made it such a good job!
so in conclusion with the right bunch of people yes i enjoy work!
If im not flat out doing all the hours possible im not happy, but do like to be treated with respect.
I left a decent job in abid to progress which i have done but really do miss working at my last place. Had a good bit of banter with everyone and if you were ever stuck you wouldnt have to ask for help because they’d already be there working with you to get the problem sorted. Got yourself stressed out over something, not a problem, you’d be told to take 5mins out to calm down.
I like work, & have always liked work . But it can depend on what type of work it is , as to how much I like it!! . Most people that you come into contact with , or have to work with on a daily basis are generally okay/good/helpfull etc , But, …sometimes you just get stuck having to work with somebody/people that just do your head in
In a nut shell, I find that in most cases it’s not the job thats a problem…but very likely to be the person/people you have to put up with!! If this is the case I just keep my thoughts on my paypacket - that helps me to put up with ‘some’ of them!!

Can be difficult tho as im sure you know.
Absolutley spot on right, I’m a patient person & quite resilient,…but most of them will not attemp to ‘cross the line’ , as they usually end up makeing themselves look a complete fool in front of their mates , or it kicks them up the backsides at a later date ,…or end up explaining to the boss

 NO, I work because I have to, that is why the upper classes and idle rich don’t work because they DON’T have to.
I know plenty who don`t have to work, yet they do it because they enjoy it.
I am in a similar position…I just love driving trucks and if someone is going to pay me for doing so, then I would be a fool not to.

I didn’t “enjoy” working in a warehouse, hated getting up in the morning, hated the job. Yet if I ever had more than a week off I felt bored and wanted to get back there, simply for some kind of structure to work the rest of my life around. So in a sense I guess I enjoying working as it keeps me occuppied.
Since I’ve started driving I’ve pretty much enjoyed every day. I rarely used to do overtime before, 8 hours in the warehouse and that was me home, another 4 hours felt like torture, now a 12 hour day is easy. I’m even working extra days when my hours allow it (seeing as we are salaried it’s the only way to get extra money). Even the worst days doing this, in the ■■■■■■■ rain for 15 hours, getting soaked through at drops, ■■■■ going wrong, traffic jams, even a day like that is more enjoyable than what I was doing before.

Whats to love about it?
It gives you time…Any job that gives you time and pays you at the same time is a good deal…If you use that time wisely.
I do not buy newspapers, or read crappy magazines, I think about things I can do, get on the phone and organise other things.
Then there are all the brilliant things you can see from high up, things that you would never see from a car, all over the country.
Air conditioned office, with good tunes, a bed for when you want a nap, or a sleep with an ever changing veiw, the most comfortable seat in the world.
And then the brilliant feeling of being treated like a dumbass wherever you go, nobody expects anything of you, as you are seen as the lowest of the low So much so, that if you think for yourself and resolve problems as and when they occur, you get a job everytime …And so the circle of enjoyment starts all over again
It is the least taxing job anyone could ever do, but you have to adopt the right mind-set for this to happen…If others and other traffic stress you out, it is the wrong choice.
And the best bit, if you don`t like a job, you can go and get another quite easily, there are plenty of vacancies for the right bod.
