In the last 2 weeks I’ve forgot too put my digi card in at beginning of shift then drove 40 miles and only realised when I went to change taco too break and it said driving without card in ,and then today got back ,went too diesel up ,looked at tacho for mileage and the cards ejected ,checked printout and I had ? On it for 31 mins ( I’m guessing that was the time the card had been ejected ) wrote on printouts forgot for 1 St one ,and no- idea how it happened to become ejected for second one .
Now don’t axors flash too warn you you’ve no card in ,scanias do ,if they do I must be concentrating on the road ahead as I’ve not seen it
Is this a serious question? Coz you REALLY dont do yourself any favours man.
You forgot to put your card in? How the hell do you forget to put your card in?
And it doesnt eject for no reason
40 miles in 31 minutes? Was there no card in because you were actually in a helicopter?

I’ve had a card eject while driving before. Turned out the tacho was faulty and had to go to Scania for a new one.
If the tacho was faulty though,he wouldnt be on here with no idea how it happened. He would know.

- I forgot too put my card in as I logged on ISO -trac and forgot ,I doubt I’ll be the first or the last to do it ,this isn’t about the why I forgot too put the card in ,it’s the fact I’ve drove 40 miles and not realised ,which is what I’m querying do axors flash the warning at you too get your attention that you’ve forgot too ,scanias I’m sure do .
The 40 miles ,31 mins if you read the op are 2 different instances ,I drove 40 miles with no card in ,then the other instance I stopped too find card ejected ,I then did a print out and it had ? On it for 31 mins ,I assume that’s the time it had been ejected .
N.b I often get in trucks ,go too put card in ,too be met with message ,driving with no card in ,so as I say I can’t be the only one

The reason the card was ejected is I’ve pushed the eject button too change the modes on the taco ,they seem the opposite too scanias ,but that’s by the by ,what I’m querying is in 2 instances I’ve drove without a card inserted ,one 40"miles ,I according too the printout for 31 mins ,now I’d of thought the message would be flashing too warn you off this ,but it seems not as I’ve not noticed until on 1 St one I went to change mode ,2 nd when I went to get mileage ,now if they do flash and I’ve not seen it then I either need glasses or more sleep, but if it’s a case axors don’t flash too warn you your driving without card inserted then maybe it’s something merc should look into .

Jeez how many more times ,Im not bothered about knowing how it ejected it’s self ,I guess I pushed the wrong button and didn’t realise ,my intrest is the warning did not seem too catch my attention ,which is why the question is DO AXOR TACHOS FLASH A WARNING IF YOUR DIGI CARD IS NOT INSERTED,maybe you can answer this very simple question

Well at least I’m honest ,I’ve drove without a taco in ,forgot too insert it ,and then I guess I pushed the wrong button ,ejected it ,then not known ,now I’m trying too understand if there is a warning why I’ve not seen it .
In future I’ll just sit there ,tut ,and just deride anyone who, isn’t as perfect as you two .
Goodnight and good bye,up yours
All trucks should have a warning symbol of some sort for driving without a card.

Now don’t axors flash too warn you you’ve no card in ,scanias do,if they do I must be concentrating on parked vans in the yard

Don’t start me off on vans ,when he was telling me about us starting too do parcel deliveries I had visions of a yard full of vans abandoned all over the place ,and all the drivers gone for a break and took there keys with them ( ring a bell ) ,me trying to get my extended flat bed in too park up for the w/ end and totalling the bosses van that’s being washed .
He’s teetering on the edge now ,that would send him over ,and send me onto the jam role .( but it’s artics, phew
I bet you’ll blame the forklift truck drivers for whizzing about and making you forget to do all the ■■■■ every other lorry driver in Europe (and America and some other places) remembers to do. Put a tacho in.

Is this a serious answer? Have you never forgotten to wind the legs up/down stuck the dog clip in its hole, connect/disconnect suzies, turn off/on lights put on/take off number plate, paperwork, turn on/off taps, fuel up/run out of fuel, indicate, put the handbrake on, put a card in/take it out, etc etc etc? And yes I’m man enough to admit to doing all them and probably more at least once in 27 years because at the end of the day we are only human, Mr perfect!

Quite easily actually - somebody comes over to talk to you and you forget to put it in
2/10
I have forgotten to put my card in before, got to the yard, gone up the office for a truck and get my run details, then chucked all my stuff in the cab, done my daily checks, picked up trailer, then just got out the gate and had to sit there for 5 mins (to show daily checks!!) office phoned up, what you doing!? Oh my sat nav just crashed so sorting it out!! Oh ok, well don’t be late for that load!!!
On this occasion, yes the tacho machine flashed like mad at me, and also the “T” on the dash flashed like mad at me!! That is on an Iveco, not sure if different units / tacho’s are different, but would have thought they would all flash in some way!! Ours flash for, overspeed, break due, no card in etc…
Dozy, you are living up to your name.
In an Axor, the Tachograph flashed with “DRIVING WITHOUT CARD”. Also the dashboard lights up Red and says something like “STOP VEHICLE - INSERT DRIVER CARD”
How on earth you missed that, I don’t know, do you pay attention to anything else on the dash? Speed? Oil Level? Fuel Level? Warning Lights/Messages?
