Do axors warn you you're driving with no card in

weeto:
Is this a serious answer?

Yes

weeto:
Have you never forgotten to wind the legs up/down

No

weeto:
stuck the dog clip in its hole

No

weeto:
connect/disconnect suzies

No

weeto:

turn off/on lights
[/quote]
No

weeto:
turn on/off taps

Whats that got to do with HGV driving?

weeto:
fuel up/run out of fuel

No

weeto:
put the handbrake on

No

weeto:
put on/take off number plate, paperwork,

Well yes ive forgotten the number plate off (never forgot to put it on) a couple times and drove off without the paperwork once. Not sure what its got to do with driving without a card though

weeto:
put a card in/take it out, etc etc etc?

Well I think ive technically answered that question dont you? Putting your card in is hgv driving 101 and the FIRST thing you do. And since the thread was started by a guy who smashed up a building then blamed someone else for parking a van in his way,I think we are all allowed to question the validity of the original post.

weeto:
Mr perfect!

Well I wouldnt say perfect exactly, but im pretty ■■■■ close.

maybe you need to adopt a new
startup policy in which you do manuel entries
first

to be honest I have done it and a daf flashes like bloody mad I can assure you.

never again was like driving in a disco.

I put in in slot 2 once drove for 45mins to first destination and the thing kept flashing which i just OK’d and cracked on. Took a while to figure out it was in slot 2

Its unfair to mock the afflicted.

trubster:
Dozy, you are living up to your name.

In an Axor, the Tachograph flashed with “DRIVING WITHOUT CARD”. Also the dashboard lights up Red and says something like “STOP VEHICLE - INSERT DRIVER CARD”

How on earth you missed that, I don’t know, do you pay attention to anything else on the dash? Speed? Oil Level? Fuel Level? Warning Lights/Messages? :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

+1,i was just about to say that but you beat me to it

In the last 2 weeks I’ve forgot too put my digi card in at beginning of shift then drove 40 miles and only realised when I went to change taco too break and it said driving without card in ,and then today got back ,went too diesel up ,looked at tacho for mileage and the cards ejected ,checked printout and I had ? On it for 31 mins ( I’m guessing that was the time the card had been ejected ) wrote on printouts forgot for 1 St one ,and no- idea how it happened to become ejected for second one .
Now don’t axors flash too warn you you’ve no card in ,scanias do ,if they do I must be concentrating on the road ahead as I’ve not seen it

Good to see you were concentrating on the road.

My 11plate axor did this:

Bingo !

Me too.

glad the only warning my Daf gives out is a little orange warning light on the speedo,as I’ve never put a card in since I’ve had it(about two years)
and yes i run on domestic regs so don’t need to. :sunglasses:

I’ve been driving axors from 09 plates through to 14 plates and they have all flashed up red if you move em without a card in saying driving without card. You can’t really miss it.

Apparently you can if you are “dozy”

Shame he ha disappeared again. He seems to post something that makes him look a ■■■■ and doesn’t come back for a week and then rinses ad repeats.

My Premium comes up with a massive T on the dash with “Card not inserted or not recognized”.

Well I’m baffled then how I’ve not seen this warning then ,I’ve had them on scanias and seen them straight away ,inserted card .

When I was first given a AXOR it said SERVise immediately so I defected it ,took it too vmu and fitter just said ignore it they all say that ,same as message bulb out ,Ve never found one out yet ,again told just ignore it ,so I do ignore messages .
But if it said taco not inserted I’d done something ,maybe it did and I just ignored it as I just assumed it was like the others ,not true .
I’m baffled too be honest ,a fair chunk of the 40 miles was through road works on m1 so there’s not much room so I would of been concentrating and could of missed it ,but still doesn’t explain the other part of the journey and then not realising I’d of ejected the card .maybe it’s im swapping from scanias - axor on a daily basis so missing things .
But I assume what there sayings right and there are warnings so I better get more sleep and concentrate a bit more

Is this a serious question? Coz you REALLY dont do yourself any favours man.
You forgot to put your card in? How the hell do you forget to put your card in?
And it doesnt eject for no reason
40 miles in 31 minutes? Was there no card in because you were actually in a helicopter?

Quite easily actually - somebody comes over to talk to you and you forget to put it in

Thanks daf ,but I’m afraid it’s not the case , sat in the truck and logged on ISO - trac first as I always do but for whatever reason I’ve not inserted my card ,then done my checks ,filled in my paper work etc and drove 40 miles then realised when I’ve stopped .
I’ve always had a routine of ISO ,card ,checks ,paper work ,I’ve just for whatever reason ( tired maybe ) I’ve not put card in ,then not realised .
I’ve done it in scania and realised duetoo warning on taco flashing ,I’ve just not seen it in axor

hitch:
maybe you need to adopt a new
startup policy in which you do manuel entries
first

I always log on ISO trac first then do my manual entrie if I’m in a scania as I find them straight forward ,axor I just put card in and drive as not been shown how too do them ,and the last time I tried to do them ( manual entries ) I ended up getting loads of infringements for no daily rest as I wasn’t changing my daTes
Now I play safe and onlyput manual entries in if I’m sure of what I’m doing

Before checks

As I’m paid off ISO-trac I lognin first ,then taco ,checks ,I can understand I’ve forgot ,but then not realised over that distance with all the warning the people are saying should be flashing up ,and in 2 instances ,I’m lost ,I just can’t understand how I’ve missed it ,yet done it on scania and seen it almost immediately, and rectified it .

Thanks for the help ,none the wiser how I’ve missed all these warnings of no card inserted ,I could blame tiredness ,lack of concentration but I seem too be able see warnings in scanias but not axors ,one of life’s great mysterys
