it wouldn’t be long from the day they where allowed on UK roads that a tm sends a driver to do a ‘quick drop’ in a city centre! imagine driving one of those in central London doing multi drop to shops!

but they do get the employers to train the drivers on how to drive these big trucks. Guess in the uk it would be “ah you’ve got a class 1 off you go.”lol
The Dutch have to take an extra test (LZV) to be able to drive the longer trucks…

Would be a good laugh
It says on the side it’s a double decker but I’ve seen a lot higher ones than that, 16.2 I think ower ones are , surely it’s Easier to go up rather than longer , as they have done …
So Mr Robinhood, every ones comments are in fact relevant to this site, and looking at your experience, only been driving for 7 years…■■■■■■ off to America probably cos you couldnt get a driving job in this country, or was it the pull of the BIG RIGS, and all the bling. On a last note, which prompted me to reply, was the fact you actually joined Trucknet before you were licenced to drive, facts : Joined in 2004…passed tests for class 2 and class 1 in 2005, so put your gob in gear first before making comments…stick that in your kenworth and smoke it.

I was takling about the car drivers in the video clip saying that they shouldn’t be allowed because they dont like getting stuck behind the current size of trucks.
For your information, I was in full time employment when I moved here doing Germany and Swiss every week and moved here purely for the adventure, I have absolutely nothing to prove to you about my experience as a truck driver. Half the members on here registered on this site before they’d passed their test, there is a newbie section incase you hadn’t realised. Quite what thats got to do with my comments about locals in a petrol station saying they dont want Denby’s truck on the road and my being in North America is beyond me. I dont think I’ve done bad for myself for a 28yr old who’s been driving for only 7 years. Driven in 8 European countries, in every province in Canada and all but two states in the USA. I’ve done all of this because I love driving trucks and travelling and I’ve got off my arse and gone after what I want. Why do you feel the need to belittle that on a topic quite unrelated and when I’ve said nothing untoward to yourself?
