I can understand companies reluctance to use you if I’m honest.
lets be perfectly frank here, you have very little experience, you aren’t English (I am guessing), you may encounter problems when it comes to receiving phone calls with instructions.
Put this against an experienced driver who is not deaf and you are onto a loser my friend and if word gets out that you sue every company that can see potential problems with hiring you then you will probably wish you had never taken your Lgv.
Could be a problem using an intercom, can see why you’re finding it hard to get work especially with no experience, probably have to start somewhere crap like 3663 or brakes, they are normally desperate & would no doubt give u a shot
personally I would skip the agencies and look for full time - as an agency will work on a booking needs filling asap if you miss the call/text they move on to the next driver, hence you may miss out.
go door to door and speak to people its the best way for full time jobs.

Hey guys,One company discrimination me because of my deafness i cant drive?
Unfortunately that’s haulage for you, it’s all about discrimination & it doesn’t get any better as your career progresses. Be prepared to fight or cut your losses & move on.

+1, agency no good either way.
How deaf?
Can it be resolved by a hearing aid?
Whereabouts in the northwest as the southerners reckon anywhere north of Birmingham is Northwest FFS

May be in incorrect assumption about not being English.
I can’t say for sure, but I have a few deaf friends, and they type how they speak.
Don’t know if you’ve ever spoke to a deaf person, but they don’t talk like able hearing people because they’ve not been hearing it all their lives
Unfortunately though, I also agree with you, a company may give the OP a chance, there was a deaf lad who worked with us on Roadways, nice lad, good at the job, so some will give a chance, but I doubt agency will.
Taking phone calls MAY be an issue, but most likely not, same with intercoms etc, speech to text systems are very good now.

I don’t think I’ve seen a flounce on here before. It’s not a very good one though. And coming back after a flounce under the same identity is poor form.
I love this type of stuff on here. Somebody posts something, not getting the reaction they predicted so they mince off into the sunset in a strop
It sounds like the OP thinks the world owes him a living. Ah well, seems he is off to fight his next battle somewhere else.
Try Whirlowdale Pallets, they are desperate for drivers and are giving new drivers a chance. As I understand it you start on the agency on temp to perm. The work aint great and the pay is poor but its a way to get experience. The tractor units (MAN’s, Volvo’s) are all fairly new but the trailers are older than the ark. Google them for depot locations.

Birmingham in the Northwest ?
More like the North Pole,
Towcester’s in the North West from where I live.
if you have 6 uncles in the game then maybe they can pull a string or two for you even if double manned to help get your foot in the door
