Dear Santa, please do NOT bring me this

45 of these bad boys have turned up at our yard over the last few days. It’s amazing how many drivers are avoiding the office like the plague! Management can’t quite understand why people aren’t willingley handing in the keys to their Actros mega space’s to drive a skinny cab MAN.

Surprised they havent gone with Renaults

Small cheap and horrid.
I perfectly understand why, but as management will point out they are more efficient and cost effective.
So you need to ask that as you are making more profit for the company are they giving you a pay rise to offset the embarrassment factor !
Hehehehehe .

Think they fell out with Renault a while back, they will use them but if another marque comes in with a more lucrative offer then their product they’ll buy.

Tell ya what 3 wheels, my only stipulation to driving one would be two paper bags over my head, the second as reserve in case the first failed!

They put me through CE , I’ll drive them!!!

it might be more cost effective if they just gave every driver a snorkel jacket with a big hood,

Whats so bad about them?

cant see the issue assuming you get paid the same and they are legal?

I couldn’t work for them … its got that name in white on the door

Some folk quite like living in a two up two down terraced house, others may want a 3 bed semi. Horses for courses I suppose.

i dont mind a 2 bed end terrace however would happily take a 4 bed detached for the same money but thats not likely.

a truck is a truck i used to laugh at the frank hudson lot up newton aycliffe way big blinged up top of the range trucks and ■■■■ wages, would rather drive something normal and legal and get paid more.

Im gutted for you moaster.having that in the back of your mind,i bet drivers start looking for other jobs if they have got to be away all week in one of them things ,must have been cheap and a few thrown in for nowt

Absolutely nothing wrong with the MAN, comfortable, good engine, excellent gearbox( if you know how to use it,) all the creature comforts, good fuel economy ( again if you know how to drive it ). And to all the cheap and nasty comments you are talking [zb].

drove an M A N for nearly 2 yrs I reckon they are good vehicles to drive and very comfortable

Question that springs into mind is do you tramp in them? If so then can partly see your point. But on day work it doesn’t bother me what I did. Long time since I did day work though!

Well having just got rid of one after 3 years my deepest sympathy to all concerned! Hated everything about it to be honest, awkward entry/exit, switches and handbrake poorly placed, cluttered chassis so no space for a box, bad blindspot behind mirrors, ridiculous side windows behind B post, what for? The list could go on. For all its faults it was reliable though, anyway good riddance to it and glad to be back in a Scania.

Hate driving another other truck except a MANN

Drove an XF105 yesterday and a CF today - prefer the CF to be honest

Been Driving MANs since July and can’t fault them, prefer them to a Scania for comfort and space. I’m sure the narrow cab MANs are about the same size as a standard Scania anyway? The TGX is definately bigger.
