Extra training and use of vehicle for test is free but retest fees of £150 are still incurred and of course it is approx 100 quid return trip in fuel or on train. Plus 30 quid for b&b.
I see your point that it is a waste to give up now but the expense of retrying each time is killing me at the moment. I have 5 kids at home and I would not want them to suffer.
Don’t get me wrong I want to keep going till I pass but can’t see any way round it right now

Seriously do nto jack it in I understand your feeling dejected due to failing again, I know it is a lot of money to find but you will get there it doesn’t make a better driver if you pass 2nd 3rd or even 4th attempt.
Peter you trainer has said you are good, you was under nerves as expected it was a slip of the mind which will never happen again
Make sure you keep going until you get that pass certificate it will be worth it in the end trust me!!
As the others have said, you’ve done do much to get this It would be a shame to give up now ! ( especially as it was such a simple thing that you certainly won’t do again!)

Just spending the day licking my wounds before I have a week of work. It still makes me smile that I can get out of a CE having failed and get into a rigid and be classed as a safe driver lol
Hope you have had a word with Peter and able to sort something out it would be a real shame as sounds as if you should pass next time ,

I definitely second that sentiment Jenny. He is a very genuine man. I would not hesitate to recommend to others even if they travel from a distance. I know that I have not YET got the result I want but it is not by any stretch any reflection on the training standards or nature of the man. He is a true credit to the industry.
Which reminds me Jenny… Are your CE plans on hold?? I remember you looked into going with EP down Epsom way but heard no more about it.
Sean is another trainer who goes above and beond but after taking 2 assesments one w&d and then the artic I feel so much more comfortable with artic just handles better for me so I’m looking to do my training with coates who I passed my c with I can also get 21 hrs of dcpc in too whilst I train so hense my decision unfortunatly my best friend had some real probs this Summer and basicaly needed help very badly so I lent her some money and had to hold out on booking my C+e but hopefully will have some money coming from tax man soon as been paying emergency tax on my lorry earnings so hoping to book soon but I’m also hoping I can get it in before any snow comes otherwise I may hold out until after new year, time will tell, rest assured I will post as soon as news coz will defo need all the encoragement you guys can give me as am a nervous wreck when it comes to tests lol
