I’m with those that say put the prats on your ignore list. I’ve got one on mine and just don’t see what he/she writes.

I missed all the crap that caused it, but why haven’t admin’ sorted it out by banning the offender?

Personally speaking I’ve not a clue what has happened. We dont read all posts. We read the posts of those that are on pre-made and if a report is activated, and by we I mean whoever next turns up, not all of us. So unless a report has been made, no idea what has upset you.

Personally I go for the ignore people I dont like option .

I’ve looked at the forum and the only thing I can come up with is an over reaction by some, over posts by UKtramp (who unfortunately has a tendency to annoy a few people.)

If I AM right about this, thing is his 2 o/ps on ‘Army drivers’ and ‘Securing straw’ were non offensive and in the format of the forum, but because it is HIM, everybody just has a go as soon as he opens his gob. :open_mouth:

As has been said, if there was a problem with his post content the mods would have jumped on it (.just like they did with that ■■■■ clown yesterday who came on offering blow jobs ffs :unamused:   )

Ok, he hasn’t done himself any favours on here in the past by his boasting, and all the crap about his job being ‘‘a hobby’’ :unamused: , but at least his posts spark off some feedback, debate and content…ie the purpose of the forum. :bulb: :bulb: and unlike a lot he can string a sentence together with a bit of intelligence.

I prefer a lot of the stuff started by him than the usual old ■■■■ chestnuts…‘Which sat nav’ ‘sleeping bag or duvet’ what are Stobbies like, etc etc aka mundane boring mind numbing ■■■■■■■■.

I aint got a problem with him, and as said if you don’t like him just ignore him, …and this ironically comes from me…somebody who rightly or wrongly regularly bites back to clowns and knob heads who try and bait me or take the ■■■■  , (and I have been told about it by one or two)
At least if I do it’s for a legit reason, and not because I simply Don’t like’’ a certain poster, for non other reason than who he is…although a couple on here do grind my gears.

I’m not suggesting for one minute playing the inevitable ‘‘bullying card’’ , nor implying any on line bullying is going on here, (we aint schoolgirls ffs) but some may construe it as such, and it has been played on here in the past for much less reason. :bulb:

What is dieseldave’s take on this btw…he usually has the talents and tact and judgement of Solomon in these cases.

Christ :unamused: …that was a bit intense and deep. :open_mouth:
Pleeeasec don’t say that now I’m taking this forum too bloody seriously as well as the others I’ve accused…
:open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Here we go again, more playground antic’s,.

Or in this case playground aRtics.
( Yeh I know…that was crap.  )

One problem with the “add them to your Ignore list” approach is that even though you won’t see the actual posts made by the thrushes, you’ll still see all the guff posted in response - much of which will quote the posts you’re trying to ignore anyway.

But seriously…does it REEEALLLY matter to people so much what a stranger on a forum writes, to go as far as actually taking the time to go through the rigmarole, of taking steps to not make his posts appear?? :open_mouth:
I just don’t get it myself, there are more important things in REAL life to get agitated and concerned about. :unamused:

Like I said…taking this stuff far too seriously. :unamused:

That is one way of looking at it, but unfortunately those who annoy you find adding their tuppence which ends up diverting every discussion, which invariably leads to page after page of several posters arguing with or attempting to wind up a person Who Doesn’t Really Exist, it gets boring.
I know, i’m one to talk cos i probably bore the arse off many here

UKtramp is the one person on my ignore list, but it doesn’t work now I’m a mod. All that (imagined by some) power and glory and you end up having to read numpty posts :unamused: . Having said that trampy isn’t as bad as he was from what I’ve seen.

Like I said, there are worst members on here than him …From the boring, the beligerant, the slightly cerebrally challenged to the downright nut jobs, but he just seems to annoy a lot of people on here for some reason.

Can’t help thinking he resembles in posting style a certain Jake guy, who appers to regularly join in conversation with him…hmmmm.

Deactivating your account won’t cause your posts to be deleted.

A GDPR take down request will though because if they don’t then the forum owners are in breach of the GDPR and subject to penalties from ICO.

Under Article 17 of the GDPR individuals have the right to have personal data erased. This is also known as the ‘right to be forgotten’. The right is not absolute and only applies in certain circumstances.

I’ve highlighted above what General Data Protection Regulation, applies to. Once the account is gone, then only posts with personally identifiable data require to be removed.

Can’t help thinking he resembles in posting style a certain Jake guy, who appers to regularly join in conversation with him…hmmmm.

There’s not really anything bothers me on this site but this.Who put that ridiculous idea in your head, need I ask.
I will tell you I have absolutely nothing to do with any other member on this forum and never have done. I have one account in the name of jake and that is it. 100% true.
For me the ones that make these false accusations (certainly in my case) are as bad as any so called troll. :imp:

Regular conversation■■? Where■■?

Implication, insinuation, suggestion ?.. maybe.
Opinion ? yes.
False accusation ?..Where at exactly?

My point was you both come over with a patronising and superior air, so I was putting 2 and 2 together.
Did I come up with 5? …ok I’ll take it back if I did.

Read the post Rob "one account in the name of jake "

Cant follow this, why and for what reason

robroy:
Quite sad and pathetic really, I’ve actually been threatened and abused by one or two :unamused: …, and been sent pm.s which I can not be arsed to even open and read, …

You manage to get them to PM you?
Christ, I need to step my game up

Thank you, I didn’t realise that this thread was actually about me, what have I said that could cause such a stIr.

Personally, I simply ignore the trolls on here , had so many threats in the past that I really found them pathetic. Lots on my ignore list and away they went.

Tbf we haven’t had anyone flounce off and leave the forum for ages

You want to quote where I said it was ok to bait?

Now, this is a simple thing to resolve and seeing as we’re all grown ups, I’ll say it how it is. You (collectively) don’t like UKtramp. So block him/her, I went through a step by step guide on exactly how to do this, so you have no excuses for still being able to see posts from them that get under your skin.

It has also been said many many times that if you don’t feed the troll, they will get bored and go away and a thread such as this is a banquet to a troll, a banquet with ■■■■■■■ waitresses and a free bar!

So, either ignore those that get up your nose, or use the block/ignore feature that the site provides you, there’s no need to leave the forums over it.

I’ve never understood how an adult can get so het up about pixels on a phone/computer screen, typed by somebody they don’t know and will 99.99999% likely never meet.

These are the same…

Pixels that have (in extreme cases) caused people to take their own lives.

I see things differently. I liken TruckNet to a party that was taking place in my area that I stumbled upon. The hosts are welcoming, providing free food and drinks along with a really nice swimming pool. Almost all of the party goers are fun genuine people. They’re just normal people like myself who do the same job and understand the highs and lows of my rather unusual form of employment. Everyone’s having a great time except for one person. One person who started to wee in the pool because that’s a funny thing to do right? The same person who puts vinegar in the punchbowl cos it’s fun. This particular person didn’t really chat with the other guests but when they did, nothing they said ever quite added up. There was always a ‘but how come you were in two different places at once’ question that never got answered. They say they live in X part of town but clearly live in Y. They claim to have done all sorts of things but always go and get another drink when a definitive yes or no answer is required. It doesn’t take long for some of the other guests to notice this person and voice their annoyance that the pool is being ■■■■■■ in whilst others swim in it. They naturally get miffed because this person is spoiling the party for some people. They mention this person to the party hosts who for what ever reason choose to ignore the party pooper. Suprisingly the party hosts defend the miscreant and don’t lift a finger when the pool gets ■■■■■■ in again.

Some guests start to leave.

And before long, all the decent party goers have went somewhere else and all that is left is the ones ■■■■■■■ in the pool who now decide they want to go where its busier and start ruining that party instead so all the host is left with is an empty house and their memories of when their party was good before they let the ■■■■■■■■ ruin it
