…I passed my car test on 04/1997(No cat C1), I then did cat D on 06/2003 and cat C on 06/2007, I’ve also done 21 hours CPC training upto now so if/when I go for cat C+E, will I need to do Mods 2 and 4 or am I covered by my initial CPC training?
hi there just to add to my post
if you only had the D on your licence say now and wanted to add the C to it then you would have to do all the
The Driver CPC initial qualification
part 1 - theory test (this includes 2 separate tests - multiple-choice and hazard perception)
part 2 - Driver CPC case studies test
part 3 - driving ability test
part 4 - Driver CPC practical demonstration test
or the other way round if you had a C and wanted to do a D
so as I said the only part is part 3 for you ( I don’t think you will have to do 1,2 as you have a C)

Aquired rights for PCV and LGV so 35 hours before 09/09/2014 to cover both types after that date
If the 35 are not completed before 09/09/2013 but are completed before 09/09/2014 then you cannot drive PCV from 09/09/2013 until the 35 is completed
Complete all 35 at any time before 09/09/2014 and get a DQC expiry dated 09/09/2019 for LGV & PCV
LGV means all categories of LGVs so as you already have a LGV on your licence then adding another LGV category makes no difference - being in the LGV periodic system means the syaten will not allow you to do any initial LGV dcpc
