Rob K:
the flying foden:
i believe that Mr tozer [has] scrap[ped] plans for the cheap dcpc
.and the protest is back on again
WTF?
Unbelievable. He complains that he doesn’t get enough for support for stuff but yet he had 9 full pages of members with the money in their hands and then he decides that he can’t be arsed with it anymore and decides to pull it “due to lack of interest”.
But wait… he has gone back to his original plan of protesting against the DCPC in London. WTF. The protest didn’t even attract a tenth of the support of the cheap DCPC course so go figure ? ? ? ■■ ?
. Is this [zb] for real?
We all know the real reason why he’s done this - it’s because a few individuals on another forum did not share his train of thought and so he took major offence and threw all his toys out of his pram in anger. Pathetic.
How old is he? 10?
I retract my earlier comments in this thread about him being a good guy. Quite clearly I was wrong and the guy is a complete time-waster and couldn’t organise an ■■■■ in a whorehouse. I think Rikki should ban any discussion of topics/petitions/protests from there and also any mention of the site itself as it casts TN in a bad light being associated with such a pathetic excuse for a website/site owner.
Well “The Travesty” continues… and now the latest from backpatters.com :
Only 99 votes says it all
The result of the DCPC poll has demonstrated to me again the impossible task in trying to unite drivers, even when it is something for their own benefit.
For over 2 years Truckersworld has been the very lonely voice in opposition to the implementation of this DCPC, many members have assisted and helped in unity trying to bring about change, but the small numbers involved have very little chance of bringing about change without far more support.
We must therefore with regret accept this DCPC with all its flaws and faults and rising cost and again be seen as a workforce that can be walked over. MPs, MEPs, Europe and this Government can throw anything at us knowing drivers in the UK will not protest. What will be next?
A protest may or may not have helped to bring this into further talks or consultation to improve its present implementation, we will never know. We have tried and failed to bring it about and now we can only sit back and watch in the future how the cost will rise year on year and more stupid pointless modules be introduced at the whim of MPs.
Truckersworld also wanted to look to the future and could read ahead that the protest was failing to gain the support to be able to go ahead, and so I took a decision to try and help some drivers gain their DQC at an acceptable cost.
This initial concept brought about “assumptions” and “accusations” which made it fail even before any details could be put forward to prove its viability. This mis-trust made many drivers “doubt” and so the vote in favour and support was damaged and again without the support from many more needed to make it viable, it has also made it impossible to move forward in this direction.
We cannot achieve the impossible.
I will apologies to those members who have given Truckersworld their support and wanted to help and join us in protest, or to accept the offer of cheap dcpc courses, we have let you down but I cannot continue to put time, energy and cost into something that unfortunately only a few seem to want.
The only losers in this are “Drivers”
The winners are the many reading this poll and threads, those who wanted TW to fail.
The Government, The DSA, JAUPT, The FTA, The RHA, Trainers, RBI, Trucknet, plus others with monetary interest, will all be clapping their hands to be able to continue pushing forward this DCPC and their DCPC courses without any worry of protest or any competition in price structure.
Some will consider it another win over TW for their own gain or merit without any consideration for others.
Some took an opportunity to kick me and truckersworld when we considered the protest, then those same ones and more kicked me again when we offered an alternative in cheap courses trying to help some drivers. I now have no doubt those same ones and more will now kick me again and stick the knife in my back for posting we have given up.
Those of you who could not be bothered or considered no point in the poll or in supporting one of the actions, please do not come on this forum in a years time complaining about rising cost, or new modules, or the problems you are having in getting cheap courses. We have done all we can in offering you the opportunity to unite and show some back bone and if it failed, then to put two fingers up to it by getting cheap courses.
The DCPC is now unfortunately your problem. I will do no more.
We have many more issues in our profession and I can now put more time and effort into these.
Again my apology for letting down those valued members who have stood by me and truckersworld, helped in writing to MPs and supported actions in protest to bring about meetings and get some points in the trucking news. Those Drivers can hold their head high and at least say “We tried”.
What a complete ■■■■■■■ joke this guy is. Blames everyone but himself for his own failings. As evidenced above, he already had the support needed to go ahead with the DCPC course for cheap monies but took his bat and ball home and pulled the plug on it when he received a few negative comments that didn’t agree with his own personal agenda.
Perhaps if he stopped taking everything so personally and stopped moving the goal posts every 5 seconds people might have shown some more support and a modicum of respect for what he was attempting to do. As it is he’s just a pathetic timewaster that can’t make his mind up whether he wants a ■■■■ or a haircut.
Note to admin: as he has made a point of blaming this site for his failings I think it’s fair game to comment on it here.
