Well although I have no active role in DIT nought changes, our driver Mike a relief man spent 40hrs on the M20 in 16kms of trucks eventually being able to divert to Portsmouth by the police who stated he probably would not ship today out of Dover as cars are being given priority. Now on a ferry out of Portsmouth on his way to Italy at last, this is how the ferry companies treat you a 365 day a year business that is road haulage with both sides blaming each other. The Frogs just cannot get over Brexit so lets hope who ever is the next PM treats them with the contempt they deserve but I doubt that will happen either as no one seems to have any balls anymore, Buzzer

“Nought changes” Well, do you think us leaving a zone of free movement is “nought”?
Were there queues like this pre-Brexit? Could there possibly be a connection?

The Dover authorities told the Gov they needed funds to help with extra passport booths in 2020. The Gov said “No”.

Of course blaming the foreigners is standard issue. Saves having to look at ourselves (and our failing Gov) and actually do summat constructive.

Franglais I note you still have not got over Brexit and neither have the French but it happened and it was some time ago, I have a long memory and yes we did suffer delays like this before Brexit usually caused by the whims of the French and there Gallic attitudes and not just this side of the channel either, the only thing you can say about them is when they decide to strike for what ever reason they do all stick together unlike us with our every man for himself attitude.
As for your point on passport booths the problem there is under manning & not the amount of booths available, you would like to think the French would welcome folk wanting to holiday in France contributing to there coffers & they certainly need that.
My main point was that why is it that all the trucks are parked up with no even flow of trucks & cars to the ferries after all the trucks are there year round and the cars seasonal, anyways all will be resolved when we get a brand new PM in No 10 who does not party or tell lies only time will tell, Buzzer

For wrighty, Inverness area 1993 MF 3095 for sale what do you reckon… fair price?
1993 Massey Ferguson 3095 £12000
To quote seller
"Massey Ferguson 3095 turbo good tyres all round, tractor starts and runs perfect , good pulling tractor bigger tyres so does 29/30 mph on the road . Good all round condition , if left sitting for a few days the brake pedal goes but once bleed and if used daily it’s fine , no offers as I’m not bothered if it sells or not "

Evening Oily

Doesn’t look in bad order and on good tyres but I would say 12k is on the strong side, Especially if it needs new brake seals which it sounds like it does.

Cheers Wrighty.

Had mi car at a local event, first time on the road in five years
A real jewel wrighty, a canny investment.

Nice car Steve would be worth a bob or two, today we started to feed haylage outside as the grass has dried out and we are in dire need of some wet stuff, they were soon into it which is good as I don’t want them going backwards and we got a big heap of the stuff. Also took some nuts down the marsh boys who I dont think have had hard grub before but did not take them long to get stuck in, the self feed rain water system has just run dry so will have more regular trips now with the bowser hardly surprising with all the hot weather we have had, Buzzer

OwenMoney:
The EES biometric passports, due in Sept this year won’t help either.
Still that’s a sovereign country taking back control of it’s borders.

Mr Remoaner, you lost. Its really that simple but like the broken record sore losers are you can’t get over it.

We have Muppets like Michael O’Leary saying Airport’s should be allowed more migrant workers as they cant get staff, Southampton Airport advertising for weekend luggage loaders into plane holds between 06.00 & 23.00 for £9.61 an hour. Is that the world you want?

British jobs for British workers at the correct rate, not taking advantage of migrants on minimum wage.

Lost, loser, minority! It’s called democracy.

Totally agree with you regarding O’Leary, can’t stand the bloke tbh! What the media fail to report is that the airport staff that were laid off because of covid have been offered their jobs back with a new contract less around £4000 in wages and of course reduced terms and conditions, wonder why so many haven’t gone back, people like O’Leary makes me sick to the pit of my stomach.

Andrew was told to phone when loaded in Cossano Belbo, Cunio but did not expect a red phone box to do it from, deceiving shot that but he is Gelling on now.

Just a word to Steve “Wrighty” please can you share a little of all that wet you are getting its just not fair to us poor Southerners, we are bone dry    Buzzer

Evening Buzzer

I know where your coming from, up to last week we were getting very dry and it was starting to go brown, but fortunately we had some good rain up ere and it has transformed the grass. Your more than welcome to some of our rain, but I don’t think that will help.
Tomorrow is a day of muckspreading, two of us covering our meadows and some of the higher fields that aren’t accessible through winter.

Cheers Wrighty.

Hey up Wrighty just wondered if those Avants are popular up your end, I have had three of them going up a model each time the present one being a 760. Very good in restricted space but are very expensive to buy infact reckon I could get me money back if mine was sold, got a Kabuto engine in as well so that is good. See you are expanding the sheds so are you getting more cattle ?
We are getting a hosepipe ban as from next week due to the lack of rainfall in the South, feeding haylage will continue and just ordering some hard grub as well. The cattle look well but dont want them going backwards, cheers Buzzer.

Evening Buzzer

Yes it’s a dealer near us that is pushing them, says the farmers up ere like them to get into small buildings to muck them out. As you say they’re not cheap he quoted about 32k for a 635, but better than a day with a gripe…
Busy day with the muck spreaders, should get finished tomorrow and then the grass just needs to grow…
The building extension will allow us to keep more cattle at home, for the last two years we have wintered 20 cattle at Alice’s cousins in a neighbouring village and we will have room to keep bulls longer.

Cheers Wrighty
