Just had a look at there website and that company have 350 units. It seems such a shame to let that F89 rot away and you
would think that rather than pay tax, they could completely refurbish that motor. It could be used running there trailers to
the MOT station or local loads.

You will be very lucky to get one at that price, there is an F89 on eBay at present on at £37,500,and it looks to be in good nick too!

Buzzer

Hi Buzzer back in 1971 I bought a new Transit crewbus and the Ford dealer gave me a choice of reg numbers, I chose one with 666 he said “not a good choice that’s the Devil’s number” so opted for 333 instead. and there is some belief(Christian) that it bodes ill luck, not so in your case with your present day legacy going full strength.

Yes Oily it was the sign of the devil. Peter Roff who bought the truck new had many with 666 in the plate it was his sort of signature tune if you like. Some are superstitious about it as I am with 13, with me I never buy ought for with a 13 in it would rather pay £5 extra, cheers Buzzer

By the way 7 of the 8 Scania’s that we have sold have ended up in Ukraine and told they are being used to get the grain out of there into Poland so they have a useful afterlife, Buzzer

Andrew is in sunny Brno, Chechia this morning.
