“Buzzer” Hey up Wrighty whats with the Inveco bit of a change from the Skoda’s, what size engine is in that mate. A subbie company of ours just bought two of them around the £86K mark so was that bought on price ? time will tell if that were a good move by Colin.
As for yesterdays market results I am still trying to take it all in but as you say a nice feeling to be top dog, cheers Buzzer

Evening Buzzer

Yes it was bought on price, about 40k cheaper than the equivalent Scania which goes a long way to buying the trailer that goes behind it. Time will tell if it was a wise decision but you have to try one to see for yourself how it stands up to the job. It has a 570bhp engine but in RHD they are only available as a midlift, so we will see how it copes in tight spots.
Busy getting fertiliser on today on some of our lower land for first crop, we haven’t gone daft with it as the price is eyewatering but hopefully it will get the grass growing.

Cheers Wrighty.

Nice to see you did well at auction Buzzer. I take it you are on the look out for some privately owned ones to buy again
now. Nice F10,dont remember seeing that one before.

Wrighty, Whilst the Iveco wont hold its resale value the same as a Scania,£40,000 is some saving and buys alot of diesel.
I dont keep up with the new stuff but was told that they drive well but could do with spending a bit more on the quality
of the cab interior.

Prices seem to be going through the roof everywhere but that fertilizer seems crazy money.

Back in the day with old style Globy’s, Buzzer

Quiet in Tracy Island this weekend, Buzzer

Morning Buzzer

One of the farms i walk have had the cattle in a barn that were pregnant. Up there last week and only about 20 left to have
calves. Looked like this one had been born that day. Are the new Scanias still on target for May ?

Nice to see new life Dean, went Monday and bought 28 Charolais subject to TB testing next week, coming from same place as last year, Buzzer

Brought back memories for me as can remember a Dennis truck from the same company coming to empty our Elsan bucket toilet into the hopper of the tanker, two man operation one handing the bucket up to the one on the top to tip in the tank. Was always shy to take a girl back home in case she needed the loo which was brick & timber shed at the end if a cinder path, oh the memories. Later we had a sceptic tank installed when we moved into the modern ere, Buzzer

The picture below was taken in the mid 70’s when Dutch Elm disease was at its height, did countless loads of that some going for mining timber and the bigger stuff for coffin boards. The Mandator was just one year old and was sold as its previous owner nicked a load of copper tube and got caught and was detained at her Majesty’s pleasure, his wife having to dispose of the motor as it was on HP, Buzzer

They must have dropped the “Hampshire” from the company name at some point as now known as Cleansing Service Group.
A couple from 1970.

Andrew & Scott waiting to load in Bilbao this morning, Buzzer

Evening Buzzer

Busy up ere over the weekend as we turned our first six heifers out, not sure they were that impressed as it has blown a cold east wind since.
Back to it today with a run down to Gaydon, tipped and loaded and then collected a machine near Preston now parked up at Abington en route to Aberdeen.

Cheers Wrighty.

The new Scania’s must be getting nearer from the horizon as the ad blue has preceded them, Buzzer

Couple shots from this week, Buzzer

Remember the old man letting them spread this on one of our fields, one hell of a green sword where it fell though, Buzzer

I remember reading about the canal barges during the Victorian era collecting the “night soil” from houses, loading it on to barges and taking it to pre arranged farmers fields to be spread about, what a job,
the smell must have been terrible!

New arrivals at the homestead today from same place as last year, got to run them through the crush to blackleg inject them then out to grass for the Summer, Buzzer
