Some lovely scenery on that bit of road. Last time i went that way was 2007 i think.

After coming through Frejus and further down the motorway.

Hi Dean this is the area he loaded, he probably took the shot as it said Bra & it reminded him of home    Buzzer

Busy start to the week as TB test at 0800 on Monday, only 12 Lims but when confined they go ballistic, in fact charging into the crush with such speed and head butting the gate but the catch stood firm but they did break the bearing on the weighing bit. Anyways on Thursday they all went clear and just two replacement ear tags to put in so now to sell on.
How did you get on with your Bulls Wrighty ? they looked some fair animals, cheers Buzzer

Yes they did alright £1500 and £1280, the first one went for breeding and the second one went fat so not too bad for 11 months old. Got lambing bossed with about 80 left and they have done alright, we were blessed with some nice weather this last couple of weeks but it went downhill on Thursday with a dose of snow. Back to work tomorrow with a trip up southwest Scotland with new toppers, looking forward to getting back behind the wheel…

Cheers Wrighty.

John, I am pensioner i could not afford that much coffee. Like the idea of Horry buying the meal’s though. :sunglasses:

Wrighty up early today to load my 12 Lim stirks to go to a continental sale at Thame Market, first time there with selling cattle and although I never went to watch they did really well. Thought when they were bought on 20th Jan they were too dear at £1100 each 6 steers & 6 heifers but today they sold average £1463 apiece so cant grumble also topped the market with 4 of the steers @ £1630 each, only here for 10 weeks and if you could do that all the time life would be grand eh but we all know thats not the case, cheers Buzzer

Well you have had a real do with them, just goes to show that quality allus sells and it is a great feeling when you top the market. We are down to 60 lambers left so there is now light at the end of the tunnel, busy with cattle as we are taking embryo’s off two heifers to implant into recipient cows (all very high tech up ere) it’s quite a long process but hopefully the results will be worth it.

Cheers Wrighty.

Hey up Wrighty whats with the Inveco bit of a change from the Skoda’s, what size engine is in that mate. A subbie company of ours just bought two of them around the £86K mark so was that bought on price ? time will tell if that were a good move by Colin.
As for yesterdays market results I am still trying to take it all in but as you say a nice feeling to be top dog, cheers Buzzer

Yes it was bought on price, about 40k cheaper than the equivalent Scania which goes a long way to buying the trailer that goes behind it. Time will tell if it was a wise decision but you have to try one to see for yourself how it stands up to the job. It has a 570bhp engine but in RHD they are only available as a midlift, so we will see how it copes in tight spots.
Busy getting fertiliser on today on some of our lower land for first crop, we haven’t gone daft with it as the price is eyewatering but hopefully it will get the grass growing.

Cheers Wrighty.

Wrighty not so many down here putting that pellet gold on the grass or if they are it is a meagre sprinkle, Buzzer
