Hey up Wrighty you must have been pleased with those results int market but nice cattle by the looks and it makes all the hard work seem worthwhile, store prices down south are not as high as that unless summit exceptional comes into the ring but that said there has been no normal lull and prices have remained high. First of the Candlemas sales in Frome on the 5th then one in Salisbury on the 11th then a second in Frome on the 12th, this is far too early in the year in my opinion as one cant turn out to grass till April/May time as far too wet and no crop.
Talking to my nipper yesterday having a catch up on affairs and things slow on the international front, the flip flops are not keen on coming here at all now because of delays and thats not coming in its when they get a return load, the EU are making it very difficult but thats them, one company that used to do lots of cow hides are not doing ought now because of the hassle, this in turn will eventually effect the leather trade in Italy but that is just the tip of the iceberg, Paddies we used to give back loads too wont entertain it now too much aggro hopefully in the end they will all get ■■■■■■ off with the antics and things may return to summit normal we shall see, chairs Buzzer.

Hi John,
Certainly is hassle in the EU at the moment, before Christmas I’d been running one of my Sprinters to Hamburg for a major fashion retailer’s new shop being got ready to open did several runs, no problem leave home Sunday morning back home late Monday night. Last week they wanted shop fitting furniture and 12 pallets taken over, got a company from Prague with a 44 tonner to do it as a reload from UK due to weight and volume, he arrived last Tuesday at Hamburg customs and has just cleared late this morning, they kept asking for silly bits of information it seems to make life difficult for everyone. It wasn’t this bad when we were doing it all those years ago !!
Regards
Richard

Richard it is bad now in fact worse than all those years ago as customs usually only took half a day if you were pronto in the compounds in the morning, see Andrew took 22hours to clear going into Germany yesterday, the goods are the same as they used to be nought out of the ordinary but Horry put a levy on any time delays for paperwork £500 a day before taking on any loads and suggest you do the same if you are going out, out. Trust you and the family are well, still waiting for the callup for me jab until then I’ll keep drinking the Jeyes fluid as a precaution, Buzzer.

"DEANB"I was surprised you could load 212 sheep on this motor Buzzer, any idea what a modern 4 deck artic would carry ?Dean the answer to your question on capacity of an artic for sheep think its about 500 only know this as an OD who picked up store cattle from me said he takes that amount to Devon from ■■■■■■■ for grazing, also two decks of store cattle between 50/60 depending on size and weight, Cheers JD.
Thats alot of animals in one hit chap. I imagine its easy to be overweight with the cattle ,trying to judge there weight must
be a thing you get with experience.
Heres a company you may know.
Dean got a feeling that Stuart’s were from Ottery St Mary near Exeter but I may be wrong, chairs Buzzer
Stuarts: Stuarts Commercials, Volvo dealers and Stuarts have a grain store just outside Exeketer.

I done my first load to the eu post brexit last week certainly not as easy as it was but not that bad, certainly could have been worse.
Loaded brum Tuesday morning with a CMR then had to go to Hayes and get TAD and clear out of Uk 4 hours there. Then down to Dover over the water get into Belgium park up then onto Hamburg go to customs TAD stamped in less than 45 mins parked at customers premises weds night. Tip Thursday morning wait for customs for export docs 5 hours. Then back to Belgium park up Friday back to Uk and tip brum again, email docs to agent for import clearance job done so all in all not to bad

Hi Andrew,
He’s got Fendts on the front and a “Case” on the back.
Thanks for all your pics Angie thinks you have been doing too many Italian runs as the photo of you in a TuTu looks like you have been moonlighting as a “Bonfire Girl” off the Tangenziale ring road in Milan ! She is having a word with Horry to put your night out money up.

Hi MaggieD thanks but tutu put away for another year lol but please don’t stop Angie from having a word with Horry to put the night out money up as mr Tesco says every little helps lol
Cheers Andrew
Good idea about putting the £500 a day clause in for paperwork hold ups Buzzer. I take it the rates have gone up as well
if companies are struggling to find hauliers to cover loads or at least its stopped idiots under cutting rates for the time being.
