Looks a tidy motor chap.

Tony Bradfield ended up with C789 BPO but not the Joker which by the way was the first Globy on the road in the UK, Buzzer.

Wasnt John Heaton the original "O-one John"? Im pretty sure Tony Bradfield had a red and silver Gob-Stopper before he got the tother, dark blue one. The red/silver one died in Spain one Easter in the early 90s. I think he was pulling for GBE at that time.

“Franglais” John Heaton aka “Axle” (most in ampshire drop the H’s) that’s how he got his nick name was I believe from London and I know he worked for Vanguard early on, JD.

Moved the troughs round this morning to give them extra room to eat, they must be getting bigger but when you see them every day you don’t notice it. Took the bathroom scales down to the barn this morning and when questioned by the Boss what I was doing I said weighing a steer but in reality was weighing the bags of food they are getting and it is 2.5 kilo’s each a day which is roughly five & a half pounds every day and this is two parts of rolled barley to one of beef nuts plus adlib haylage and a mineral lick so well catered for, Buzzer.

I second that John British is best. Happy new year to all on this Thread. :sunglasses:

I suspect you remember these running down to Kosovo

Evening Buzzer

Well thats another year done and I don’t think 2020 will be forgotten in a hurry, lets hope 2021 will be better but I’m not holding my breath…
Spent today spreading muck while the grounds hard with frost same tomorrow if it stays dry, as I write this it’s trying to snow so we will see.
I’d just like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy and peaceful new year…

All the best Wrighty.

Hey up Wrighty your right surely this year cant be as bad as the last lets hope its not, you would not be able to spread muck down here far, far too wet on the ground and even though we have had frosts there no where near as hard as you have experienced. Its this time of year when you see the feed stocks dwindle yet in the Summer you think you have plenty, have a mate who deals in feed D.N.Crofts of Wincanton and he goes to fodder auctions all the time and at Sedgemoor market he went to bid on haylage, 52 bales on a truck with option of two further loads and it started at £12 but ended up at £27 so far too dear to trade with.
Glad now I sold the Lims earlier on as to carry them through the Winter would have been costly, looking forward to the Spring now and the days getting out ready for another full cycle of the farming year, cheers Buzzer.

Another blue & white from the past, Buzzer.

Evening Buzzer

Well it started off a nice frosty morning so we decided to crack on with the muck spreading, then about 10 o’clock the snow came and put quite a bit down in a short time. It didn’t stop us but it did make the lane at home into an ice rinc, got finished about 4pm fed and bedded the cattle and into the house for a warm in front of the log burner, just see if it snows again tonight and see what tonmorrow brings oh the joys of winter eh…

Cheers Wrighty.

Looks a bit grim but as you say better than rain, glad the festive period is done with for another year and time to get back at it, Buzzer.

Bit chilly in the Pennine’s today, Buzzer.
