Hi all, i am pretty sure that Transport Services ( Mr Squibb) did the post to Spain but i could be wrong.
On Sundays about 20 different trucks did the Spanish post transiting France.
Each carrying one letter. Allegedly.

Weren’t Carr Brothers from Northants involved in this post job? Seem to remember talking to one in Victors who stayed out there for q. a few weeks doing changeovers, think that was about late 90’s. Was an excellent place to stop back then, pure shame it’s gone now.

Correct Kev he did he also had a big job taking out razor blades to Seville IIRC, Buzzer.
Hi all, yes Buzzer i thought they did i remember Mr Bartlett tell me story’s about him and i do believe you mate Baldrick doing it over weekend’s. How is the driver in Spain getting on any sign of him heading north yet.
Ah the good old post Job.
Going back to around 2001-2002 i delivered some spam mail to a royal mail depot. Whilst being unloaded i noticed a box of seals on the floor. Nice and red with a Queens crest and embossed Royal mail. Do not remove in about 6 Languages. A few of those might come in handy one day i thought. So a round 5 or 6 found their way into my pocket.
A quick trip to a car parts place saw me have a reg plate saying LA Poste made up.
I remember as clear as day a French Holiday on a Thursday and i was leaving Madrid with a load of Plastic Bottles for Basildon and wanted a weekend at home. So up went the sign and a Seal on the back doors and TIR Cord. A CMR Made out all professional looking saying in Spanish/ French and English Royal mail do not remove the seal etc etc. A work of art i must say. Well i sailed all the way back no issues. A few stares from some French Condoms along the way but no stops until Arras. Got a tug. Showed them my CMR they checked the seal numbers and lo and behold Bon Voyage. Got home Saturday Morning 7am. Well proud of myself. Some of the things we used to do in the good old days eh.

In the realms of excess despite rumours of shortages, my mate just phoned me and said that he just come from Tesco’s and they had 16lb Turkey’s for sale at £6.50 total, plus the picture below shows the madness of a producer having to dispose of his cauliflowers for animal feed as they were not quite right for the Tesco shelves and as we all know we cut them up to cook them so what difference does it make, just madness. Buzzer
Boris this is not taking back control, this is giving in to that squirt Macron & the French but a lot of us expected a collapse by the UK government but hoped they would hold fast but in this case they just let it slip away and for sure the ones who voted to leave will be gutted, this is Brexit in name only, Buzzer.
Hi John unfortunately he was always going to drop his trouser’s and get shafted by Macron.
