How are your drivers affected by the new lockdown Buzzer , do they have to quarantine when they come back ? Might be time to dust the license down again and help out , lol

No problems at the moment as they are classed as quay workers (sorry for the pun) unless Denmark and that is a definite NO who ever you are, I cant drive them Scannies they got now as they aint got any gear sticks and Ime old skool, would not know where to start    Buzzer.

Yesteryear when things were hectic but calm, better than today with Zulu’s & Covid to deal with, Buzzer.

Hey up Wrighty had the reading on the TB test today and all fine & dandy so thats a relief for sure, only two measured with a slight swell but good the only bad bit is that one had an ear tag missing and ordered a new one on Tuesday and normally it is guaranteed to arrive the next morning but still aint showed up yet so that was a pain. More wet weather forecast for us this weekend and we have had enough now, cheers Buzzer.

Looks like Bosnia days?

Another crap day weather wise the ground is now sodden and we got alot more coming, how did your second TB reading go Steve, see you are in a four year TB zone so you dont have the hassle of doing it every year, never understood that its a bit like Covid19 restriction different depending where you are in the country, Buzzer.

Evening Buzzer

Yes we had a clear result yesterday which was a relief so thats it for another 4 years, finished the day off by worming all the younger calves and bolusing the cows. About tupped up now so the only big job left is to fluke the cows which we will do when they have been housed for at least 8 weeks, sat ere watching crap Sat night TV roll on the pubs opening again looking forward to a pint of draught Guinness.

Cheers Wrighty.

A little bit of nostalgia,1977 and still around VTA 872S a 1977 Volvo F88 which started its journey with Coles Plant Hire in Devon, we bought her of a very young scrap dealer from Cornwall and he brought her up to our yard as he was confident when we saw it we would buy it and he was right. She had some fancy wild west paint job on her but was basically sound so a deal was made at £5K then we put a ton of money into her to get her how she should have been, we bought another donor F88 and had alot of help from the boys at MC truck & bus and got her nearer our standard, later on she had a second Granning rear lift axle grafted on to cope with the weights. This was not a show truck it was a genuine working one that went all over Europe including Bosnia back in the day.
We ran her for quite a few years but in the end she had to move on to pastures new, that’s when Paul Perris came on the scene and he had pestered me several times to let him buy it which he did, he was an owner driver from Thatcham near Newbury and he had her repainted and added lots of flash which was not our way but it was his to with what he wanted. When he had to retire due to ill health he sold her on but not sure who too but today she is owned buy an avid fan of F88’s and resides with two more examples of the same marque by Mark Hoskicks and believe he still owns her. She would still be capable of a days work if challenged and at 43yo not a bad record, cheers Buzzer.

In my opinion it looked far better when it was at DIT than any of those other incarnations

Well you know when you got a bit of news and are itching to spill the beans but are forbidden to do so, that was the case until today as that news has now been released, very proud as the man who started it all nearly half a century ago I am pleased to announce that Davies International Transport have successfully completed the purchase of our transport hub at 21 Brunel Way, Segensworth East, Fareham known to many as " Tracy Island " and we will keep on Gelling thats for sure.
Times in this country are hard at this moment in time so I am particularly pleased that my two boys James & Steven aka Horry & ■■■■■■ have achieved there goal of ownership ably supported by there Mother who has no plans to retire, reminds me of the old TV program " The Brothers " if any can remember that as she loves to go to work in the office, me well I am retired as most of you know but still like to know whats going on day to day.
This is a great milestone in the history of our company and as anyone involved in transport knows it’s not always a nice flat road, for sure it has ups and downs, we have made lots of friends over the years and developed some wonderful business relationships and my boys I know look forward to taking us forward in the future and know they are very capable on that score living and breathing the transport business from an early age as they grew up at home when things were often run from the kitchen table moving aside the fax machine when it was time to eat, long may they continue in there endeavours good on you boys you done well, Buzzer.

Evening all !! I’ll put this one up before Buzzer sees it lol

Evening Buzzer

Great news about Tracey Island a fair achievement for any haulage company let alone one specialising in euro work, your two lads are doing a real job of continuing what you started all those years ago.
Well up ere it’s pretty quiet on the farming front, it’s as wet as ever with no sign of it drying up anytime soon.

Cheers Wrighty.
