Remember these nearly every truck back in the day had one of these installed, we had a man to fix them if they went wrong “scaniaman” in Woolston, Southampton, think he was so called as i once sold him a Scania, he came to pay me with a leather holdall full of cash at night so i sent him away and told him come back tomorrow. This was so i could go and pay it straight in the bank just being cautious i suppose but i never knew him then, Buzzer

I bought this new Granada 2:1 D for our Fleet Engineer in late 1979 when he was around 21 or 22 and at that time there was a lot of controversy about the use of CB’s. Well not wanting to get into lumber we had a Midland CB fitted into the glove box and it used the same electric aerial as the radio cassette. :sunglasses: I wasn’t a great fan of CB’s as I thought they were a waste of time ! not so many of our Drivers  Cheers Dennis.

If you paid that sort of cash into your account now they’d freeze it and close it!

On the road in France in Cauneille, Klondyke & Mikes first sit down meal in 12 weeks, Buzzer.

Hi all, nice to see a bit of normality coming back into the job at last i bet those boy’s enjoyed there first st down meal, are there many re-opening have you heard Buzzer. Nice bit of steady rain today this will do every thing good. How many big bales did you end up with john.

Kev think that was the first one they have found open, obviously not quite as much traffic I am told but thats the same over here but starting to get busy again now. Had 52 bales on six acres so not too shabby as we did not have any rain early on, slightly down but no fertilizer put on, Wrighty on the other hand has had a good soak overnight which is what we need down here to get the grass to recover so he will be pleased. We have only had a dust dampener and need steady constant rain to do any good but dont think this is going to happen, Buzzer

Hi john, i have just been reading that France has reopened restaurants as of yesterday but can only serve food outside so don’t know what they will do now it’s a bit colder and wetter. Not to bad a crop off the grass, they say we could get a drop of rain over the next few week’s but we will have to see. :sunglasses:
