Yes John your right his barn was full don’t know what happen to the tractor’s. yes he also did a marathon trip left here went down to a big steam rally in Cornwall then did a couple of smaller rallies on the way back up to Stourpain. He did talk about a tour around Europe. But sadly he never got there.
This could be the one, a 1952 model snapped at the Great Dorset 2010 thanks to Tudor Barker.

Buzzer:
Sunday and very quiet on the lanes round home, think everyone is self isolating for fear of getting coronavirus or the sqwits judging by the way the bog rolls are disappearing of the supermarket shelves but none of the authorities mentioned this was a symptom of the afore mentioned pandemic. My boys are exceptionally busy with pharma loads plus food stuffs from Spain and flower plants for mothers day even though that is a couple weeks away which is good.
On the farming front I have booked a TB test as I have decided that the biggest of the steers I have should find a new home as the prices in market at the moment are super high and I don’t think one would benefit from keeping them all Summer and do any better so looking towards maybe getting some younger ones to run on the grass, that is if it ever stops raining. Yesterday the weather forecast for the week looked good with no rain but today and its a different outlook altogether but that’s the way it is. The chicken are laying very well and yesterday I had 108 eggs from 120 chooks so well pleased with there performance levels at the moment.
Couple pictures of the steers in the barn this afternoon else Dean will get on at me![]()

Hi Buzzer, hows things with you in the south and has it stopped raining with you ?. Just going over past posts and one of yours caught my eye, and the present situation with supermarkets, you have a garden for veg, plenty eggs + chicken if need be, then 7 little piggy’s went to s/h, = loads of sausages plus etc etc, now your having TB test to cash the biggest of the black boys, is this a wise choice the way the shelves are emptying, hardly any veg in local Tesco, no chicken a few beef steaks, very few eggs, the list goes on, oh and no bog rolls, local butcher usually sells £50 worth mince a day, yesterday (Tues) £400 worth, I think you have it made, sausages, eggs, chicken and possibility of AA beef, plus garden produce. Situation won’t be an easy fix, and perhaps not this year. Mrs D and you stay safe, Bobs
Andrew Morrison, In Scotland, we know how important you chap’s are in keeping the shelves full, (all transport is), hence quick turn around eh !, then again who wants to hang around in this weather. More photo’s please, and safe driving. Bobs
Yeh I can just see Jan washing that when you finished with it

Evening Buzzer
Well it felt a bit like spring today warm sunshine and a pleasure to be outside working, still busy lambing and managed to turn out around 30 yows and lambs today. We are about 3/4 of the way through so the job should start to ease shortly, but having said that our cattle have decided to get in on the act with 7 calves born this week.
Busy on the work front put some miles in this week two drops Monday second one at Dufftown and then loaded diggers at Inverness for Immingham docks, tipped Tuesday dinner then loaded straw near Filey for back home aye it’s all good fun eh…
Cheers Wrighty.
Wrighty we are seeing a definite weather change down South, nice and sunny today and a strong breeze a blowing should dry things up quite rapid, you will be harrowing & rolling & fertilizing them fields before you know it roll on the Summer, all those lambs will be able to go out and grow on.
TB test on Tuesday & Friday not the annual but one I have ordered so maybe take advantage of the flying trade we have at the moment and reinvest later int year we shall see, already had an agent in this morning to look and take pictures for prospective clients just happened to be up here picking his daughter up from Southampton university as she has to return home, fingers crossed for the right results, cheers Buzzer.

Well it’s a miracle we have managed two days without rain it did try to hail this dinnertime but we will ignore that, although we have had a very raw east wind which is drying the land up a treat but will definately slow down the growth of any grass.
Lambing is progressing well and we have about 100 left to lamb, the new shed has been a godsend enabling us to keep lambs in until they are stronger and can stand the weather better.
It may be wise to offload your cattle now for a good price, as you can guess the price of feed and medicines will shoot up for no other reason than the Corona virus outbreak.
Cheers Wrighty.
Hey up all today I self isolated on the strimmer and ride on mower, much easier now it is drying a bit and the mower is a mulching one so I cut then leave for a couple hours lift the deck a tad and go over any residue and this cleans the job up a treat, got to do a bit of replacement fencing where piles have rotted off but most have been there for twenty odd years so where has that time gone, my mate has a tractor mounted driver so that should make life a bit easier.
Now got a roast shoulder of lamb and plenty of fresh veg to look forward to, always tastes better when you have done a bit, Buzzer
Well whilst you was all enjoying your Sunday roasts it was time to hit the road with yet more essential medical supplies.JD you may have to start doing us DIT drivers a pack up to take with us ie: eggs sausages, pork chops that sort of thing if this panic buying s#%t carries on much longer lol
Tracy Island before I left at dinner time & the rest will be gone by teatime all except■■? You guessed it John,Bridget aka Chip lol
Andrew doe’s Chip come out in a rash if he leave’s on a Sunday.
