Thanks for the picture Dean, went to Frome yesterday rained all the way down and when we were there and all the way home as well think we have had enough now. The Angus cattle I wanted someone else with deeper pockets than me had them but they were top notch specimens cleaned the front of the big shed out round the feeder earlier this week and delivered two loads to friends for there gardens, would like to clean it all out about six more loads but too wet to tip anywhere at the moment so will have to wait a bit.
The DAF drives really nice and I just seen an advert for a cattle truck in Ireland and its got my old Tristar box on a 55 DAF so don’t know what the old Volvo is being used for now, cheers Buzzer.

No it wasn’t me Dan I spent 4 1/2 hours in Lichfield trying to deliver concrete staircases, then ran down to a farm near Winchester with concrete panels…
Cheers Wrighty.
Raining again today but started cleaning out the big barn, all the normal places I would tip were far too wet but thought I had cracked it when the local farm shop near to me said I could tip it there, it is basically on gravel and I thought this would be fine but when I drove on it the trailer was sinking in a bit so I tipped where I was and got out, next load I backed in but a little too far and got stuck and had to be towed out with there 4wd New Holland. did four more loads without problems and got one loaded for tomorrow and 1/2 a load for the veg patch.
Went to Salisbury fat stock Christmas show and sale and stores sold after but nought to interest me there, still the shed is cleaned out ready so watch this space, Buzzer.
Very good Oily, you have a choice 1) be in a sealed garage with four cows overnight or 2) with a car with engine running. think I would choose option one as you would have a chance of walking out when the door was opened in the morning but would not bet on the same result with option 2.
Today I managed to purchase 8 new beef bred single suckled Aberdeen Angus steers 13mo at Frome Market and I did that from home as you do on Black Friday, I got a mate to buy them for me while I listened in on his phone and I stole them IMHO, buying blind is not always a good thing but I trusted in his judgement and he brought them home for me and when we unloaded I was well pleased with what I saw. I paid him for the transport and washed his trailer out while he had a cuppa. good job all round and now looking for a few more, Buzzer.

No photos Buzzer so I do hope you haven’t been “fitted up” with 8 Screws !!!
Cheers Dennis.

Sounds like you have had a proper result Buzzer with those Aberdeen Angus steers. From everything i have ever read
i believe they are the best beef cattle you can get. So bearing that in mind will you keep one of those fatten it
up,and have it slaughtered for your freezer ?
Here are a couple of shots of my new Angus steers just to pacify you Dennis, fair to midling I would say and I was pleased when I saw them come out the trailer, they are quiet and been weaned a while as no hollering, you can always tell in a market when they bin taken straight off there mothers, they got plenty of room at the moment and I got to see what I can do to rectify that, Cheers Buzzer.

Evening Buzzer
The new stock looks well and should do your job, how many more are you wanting to fill the shed…? We’ve been spreading muck as the ground was fairly hard with last nights frost, the forecast for the week ahead looks to be quite good so hopefully it will dry up a bit.
Cheers Wrighty.
Hey up Wrighty really want about 30 total but not rushing in just yet, want to try and buy all single suckled Angus if possible as I feel at the end it will pay off, the ones I got are a good start and they were a black Friday snip in my mind under 700 home. That ground still looks a tad soft to be on with a heavy load of muck but fore cast looks fair for a bit next week so you may not need the wet weather gear loading and un loading the truck up to Wednesday, Cheers Buzzer
Andrew aka “snapper” departing from Tracy Island early today, he’s got to make up for Chip who is on an extended break, Buzzer
Just love it, Buzzer
Has farming come to a standstill? , no reports for a week from either North or South.

No reports from the South at the Moment other than its peeing down most of the time, got 8 steers in the barn but they only need littering up once a week and haylage in when needed, sent Gerbil to Wales tomorrow to pick up an Ifor cattle trailer and the truck is in for maintenance and hoping to go to Frome Friday to see if I can add any more steers to my collection but to be honest not a lot of the right goods about just now, as for the Northern end reckon Wrighty is in an airing cupboard somewhere trying to dry out when he is dry he will surely report in, cheers Buzzer
