Hey up Bob we don’t do Crimbo partys any more down here as most want to go home, we do give em a box though (a begging box that is) no only joking but for sure Christmas goes on far too long and the first sign of there wives threatening them with decorating they all want to come back PDQ but that’s understandable, cheers Buzzer.

Not sure if i ever met Tony. He sounded a real character reading his posts. RIP.
Very sad day for all the Davies family to hear of the passing of “TIR Tone” as he was known when he worked for us, first met Tony south of Paris when he was working for Transport Services, he had picked up a trailer in Cherbourg that another driver had dumped but it had three flat tyres and he had used all the running money to get them fixed, not knowing him but as it happened I went to school with Barry Squibb who he was driving for. Lent him enough cash to do his trip and Barry paid me back when I got back and the rest as they say is history.
Many a time Horry and ■■■■■■ our boys have lost a roast spud or two of there plates at the house when Mappo turned up on his way to ship out and the Boss made him up a dinner or getting off a boat in the morning and calling for breakfast but that’s how it was back then every thing run from the kitchen moving the fax machine out the way when we ate, he was a proper old school driver and loved the job and he was our first real International driver.
He will be missed by many on here and has now gone to play the one arm bandits in the sky, RIP mate from all the Davies family.
Absolutely gutted to hear the terrible news . Never knew Tony but having fought that awful disease I have understood what a fight he has put up . A top bloke gone far too soon . Rest in peace Tony .

Never met the guy but read his posts on here and he seemed a real character.
