This is a more modern view of the A27 at Bursledon of the rail bridge and a bit further up the road was the Crows Nest pub where Hori & Steven had a tad too much to drink, Buzzer.
Back to farming life today, assembled the troops for 08.30 second part of the dreaded TB test but can report that we went all clear which is a huge relief now we have to get em gone. No one unless they are involved with cattle can realise the stress of having a reactor but it is a weight lifted that is for sure, Buzzer.

Good news re TB test certainly a weight off your mind, nothing worse than a reactor and all the b/s that goes with it. Just got to sell them for a profit now which is easier said than done, but as they say quality allus sells.
Been gathering tractors up around the midlands for an open day on Wednesday parked up near Coventry tonight, sounds like were in for a wet day tomorrow which like yourselves we could do without…
Cheers Wrighty.
Good news on the TB test Buzzer !
Cant remember if i have posted this before or not,but was on google maps a while back and come across this

Thanks for the picture Dean it had probably just delivered stores to a cruise ship, Buzzer.
Evening Buzzer
Well it’s been an eventful week had the thieves in on Tuesday night and pinched our quad bike, couldn’t get it out of the shed door for the tractor so they took it out through two pens of heifers and out into the yard and then pushed it down the fields to the road. Luckily it was spotted by a neighbour in the next village about 10.30 pm being followed by a 4*4 at speed who reported it to the police, not sure what happened next but it was found on a road which leads over to the A66. We picked it up from Catterick on Weds afternoon and is back home again, the police did say that they will probably be back for it at some point so we will see.
Cheers Wrighty.
I was just on my way back from central London town today when one of yours passed me on the M40 N/B at Banbury, I had to chuckle to myself when I read the back door of the trailer, "SUPER CALIBRE FRIGO LOGISTICS EXPORT IMPORT DAVIES"I think Chip was the chauffer, looked well smart.

Surprised you were overtaken! My memory of any 1970 Commer is seeing it disappear in front of me with a four foot flame coming from the exhaust
Here you go 1970commer this one is for sale near me asking K6.5 been in storage for years has a TS3 2 stroke engine 3 cylinder with blower, comes with two spare engines and axle’s plus a load of other spares. Years ago the old mans cattle haulier ran two of these and they were quite popular in there day. Bye the way that logo has been on the rear of our trailers since about 1992 and we have had loads of calls about it and it always makes people smile, obviously its a micky take of Mary Poppins musical supercalifragilistic and so on.
Wrighty sorry to here about your sticky handed visitors they need a hand cut of, remember years ago in Milan when I was waiting to clear customs a Dutch driver caught an iyty breaking into his cab and his mates held him on the ground while he drove over his hand with the front wheel then turned it back and forth, bet he thought twice about thieving after that but that’s the way to treat them for sure. The Police are right if they know its there they will return for sure so you need to take extra precautions mate, Buzzer
Afternoon Buzzer
Enjoying a bit of winter sunshine up ere busy spreading a bit of muck before the rain returns, had a nice roast dinner then out with the dogs setting mole traps as they are wreaking havoc in the meadows at the moment…
Cheers Wrighty.

First truck i ever went in was one of those Commers Buzzer. My grandad had 2 on grain and he had traded in 2 Thames Traders for
them as they were much quicker apparently.

Catching up after a bit o tramping, approaching is a Singer Gazelle, I carted a few of them, tail end of a Hillman Super Minx Estate, I had one for a while and by the bridge it is a Mercedes. Also supped a fair few pints of Watney’s Red Barrell back in the day
Oily
Southern Region BR train by the look of it. Nice period shot. Robert
Today saw the exit of my 39 angus steers, sold privately to a beef finisher. The truck turned up bang on time 10am and he did try and back in but at 16ft high & 44ft long and a 4 decker just could not manage it, the lanes where I live were not built for trucks of this size and he did a bit of branch grooming on the tree’s coming in and going out, in the end we reverted to plan B and used my truck to take them out and loaded back to back four loads and in the end he was only here the 1 hour and it took us a lot longer to clean up and wash the truck out than to load. Just got to sit and wait now for the cheque to arrive and plan the next move regarding cattle, Buzzer.
That’s a smart wagon you have there buzzer

Evening Buzzer n DEANB
Yes the new tractor is performing well a big step up from the old one, trouble is it’s too wet to get on the land the quad bike is the only thing that will travel at the moment. Busy three days at work tipped and loaded at Gaydon on Thurs morn and it never stopped raining from getting up to parking up at night, it was definately a “wish I’d tried harder at school” day.
Today was my least favourite day of the year sweeping up bloody leaves, a job I detest don’t know why but the end result always looks better.
Cheers Wrighty.
Yes Dean all gone 39 in one truckload to be fair the chap with the artic was pretty good and did try and back in but in the end you cant get a quart in a pint pot so we had to do four shunts with my lorry but had some good men here helping and the chap wanted a 45 and in fact it was 47 so he was happy and on his way. Now keeping my eye on the market to see if ought’s about you know me,
Wrighty I know what you mean with the rain, totally different to last year as it was quite dry down here in the autumn, you were lucky to get that muck out last week as it looked like it was almost too wet to do the job. No one here is spreading muck at the moment as it would cut the ground up too much and make a right mess so will have to wait till spring for that job.
Even my Mrs said how quiet it is now the steers have gone as every time they see you they holler out for food, cheers Buzzer.
I bet that money is burning a hole in your pocket, won’t be long before the shed is full again…
