Charlie you should know old Mappo was the one with sandel’s, short white socks, tight shorts ooh and dark sun glasses whoa we are not allowed to ridicule the poor old retired man of the road as its not fair and unjust and he does not deserve that, well may be a little bit Buzzer.

Oi you two, pack it in or i,ll throw my toys out the pram again…lol

Only kidding of course, i obviously dont mind a bit of banter, and in fact like to join in…in the past when Fergie kindly intervened, i was at a
particularly low point, feeling crap and probably feeling sorry for myself…but i,ve got over that now…Thats not an invitation however to
bombard me with abuse again…well not too much…lol

007 has a seat booked here for harvest starting next week.

Came out restaurant last night & noticed these out back so it is still a farm although scaled down as a lot of buildings converted for restaurant toilets etc… Was also a bloody good meal prima seconda help yourself salad bar desert & vino all for 10euros no charge for shower either no wonder parking was full lol

Cracked it we have now got “snapper” converted, alright he still posts pictures of trucks (mainly his) on his travels but today a first we got some international farming shots well done Andrew. The sun is definitely out with a vengeance too hot for me 20cg is fine any hotter and I need to sit in the shade, sweated just picking beans this morning and that was before feeby got revved up. Off to Ifield Wood tomorrow to try and buy a replacement for the horse I lost.
Wrighty hope you got Alice doing the hay or maybe you have not got the weather we have, to be honest we could do with a bit of rain down this end as the grass is dying back fast and that’s not good, cheers Buzzer.

Evening Buzzer

Been a grand day up ere busy clipping sheep and foot pairing, then spaned lambs and took the yows to the fell. Then a bit of scaling hay this afternoon with a view to baling tomorrow but the weathers gone a bit dull tonight, so who knows they may end up as round bales…
International farming forum who’d have thought eh, keep up with the photo’s Snapper we might learn a thing or two.

Cheers Wrighty.

Wrighty don’t quite know who has the best view while making hay or haylage you or me, one would be hard pressed to choose eh. Hope the old weather holds for you and you get it baled ok, never thought we would be International on the farming news just hope old “snappers” effort is not a one off and that he has more input on the agricultural side of things, makes for a more interesting thread bit of everything.
Been down the pub for a swift jar and that was as busy as hell must be end of week and the sun has made em all parched, nothing like a cool pint at the end of the day, cheers Buzzer.

As long as someone else is “buying” eh Buzzer !! Cheers Bewick.

It has to be said we do live in a great country with some stunning scenery, and a lot of it we don’t get the chance to see. Sat watching telly with a cold can maybe we’ll get out for a pint tomorrow night.
Just been out to feed the mule gimmers and some cattle and had the pleasure of standing and watching a deer, it’s been around a building on the edge of a field all day and hasn’t moved despite us mowing the field. wether it’s got a young one nearby we don’t know or it’s going to give birth itself we will wait and see…

Cheers Wrighty.

Dennis went to pub tother night armed with a basket ful of bagged beans, runners & French and after the first drink me hand never went in me pocket and all the beans went sort of a barter I suppose cheers Buzzer.

Was out walking this morning Buzzer and came across a lovely sight of a combiner in flat out cutting mode
with a tractor and trailer following. Used to like watching them as a kid and i must admit i watched it for
about 20 minutes . A few years ago i moved a farm manager to France from Dorset who was telling me that when
he first took over at the large farm he managed there used to be 6 combiners, and when we moved him 20 years
later 1 combiner did the same amount of work as the 6 ! Just goes to show how much bigger and improved/efficient
they had become.

The thing that has changed is they now sometimes have tracks on them like the one i saw this morning. The
header on it was huge must have been 20/25 feet long, really impressive bit of kit. I found some pics of one
lthough i think the one i saw was bigger. What sort of money would one of these cost ■■?

4 year old Claas 750 is about £150,000. New I guess around £200,000. My first combine was an International B64 towed with a Fordson Major. 6 acres on a very good day mostly spent underneath with my toolbox. Things have changed. For the better?? Peter

You are a dealer man of my own heart Buzzer !! Who else could walk into a boozer with 50p’s worth of “gear” in the basket and stagger out at closing having supped 10 pints of Ale ( value £30 minimum!). Cheers Dennis. :open_mouth: :sunglasses:

Birthday it is for me today so went to look at a replacement horse, got there at 7.45 am took one horse with me to pair up did six miles borrowed a carriage of the man for the New Forest Show next Thursday, lost 3/4 of an hour going round Chichester on the way home bloody nightmare.
As I say got the horse from “The Old Baily” cos he is on trial see if he fits in with the rest, good straight man to deal with Buzzer.

PS. If it works I got to pay up.
