Nice clean simple livery but very effective, a case of less is more…
Wrighty.
Wrighty we have muted on this sign writing subject before , in years gone by there was not a bit of space left on the cab and it were all hand done, no graphics back then but not today simple is the way. Your firm is still doing it old fashion like but it still looks smart and as both our firms do foodstuffs clean where ever possible is the norm as impression to the customers is key. Personally I love to see a clean outfit going about its work so please keep posting your pics of where you go at work as you know our fans love a bit of variety, they have said so on here, cheers Buzzer.
Agree totally Buzzer, when carrying foodstuffs it’s imperative that the vehicles are clean and well looked after. I always think of going into a shop to buy a bottle of milk, you wouldn’t pick the bottle that was dirty crushed and had half the label missing, you judge what’s on the inside by what the outside looks like.
Off now for four days so looks like spreading muck could be on the cards, anyway here is a photo taken whilst delivering vinegar at the old HP sauce factory in Birmingham (now long gone)circa 2000.
Cheers Wrighty.
Well here is a shot of my fodder beet pulper attached to the back of my trusty Massey 590, as you can see it does a fine job and I don’t have to wind a handle like on the forerunner model. My 20 steers get about 300 kilos a day in two feeds and they love the stuff. Got the old TB test in a couple of weeks so fingers crossed for that Buzzer.
A massey ferguson 590, one of the best masseys made here’s a photo of one of our practical classics…
Oh and here’s another
Nice tractors there Wrighty, its harder to find a decent second hand example of a smaller tractor today, they all seem so huge nowadays and the smaller ones in good fettle fetch a tidy sum. Did you get on with the muck spreading ? I was half expecting a shot or two of you in action, any ways I thought you only did that job in the autumn.
Here is a blast from the past which Horry put on FB, ■■■■■ or what. Cant believe its over twenty years ago on it’s way back from Spain loaded with Brocoli, Buzzer.
Evening Buzzer,
Muckspreading was cancelled due to heavy rain last night and this morning, up ere we tend to spread muck when the land allows. There’s supposed to be a frost tonight so fingers crossed for tomorrow, hopefully pictures to follow.
You’re right about tractors getting bigger, once upon a time tractors off arable farms were a source of cheap power, nowadays they’re just too big especially up ere. We tend to do all tractor work ourselves because contractors machines are just too big for our lanes and gateways…
Cheers Wrighty.
Thanks for the pics Wrighty seems pretty firm on the ground considering the rain you have had. Been a nice day down here sunny but a tad chilly but no rain, drove out with a pair of horses and gave the carriage a wash off on return.
Got annual TB test on the first of March and have to deal with a growth on one of the steers, never seen ought like it before and it don’t seem to bother the animal and not sure what it is but needs removing so its over to the vet, gonna send the pic so he knows in advance what he’s up against, keep the pictures coming mate Buzzer.
We have 74 acres of land down near Leyburn, and it’s a very different climate a lot warmer and not quite so much rain. Didn’t make much mess just around the gateways, fingers crossed for the dreaded TB test…
Cheers Wrighty.
Hi BUZZER, that looks a bit nasty, from now on I am “peggydeckboy” you would never believe the problem I had trying to log in after trying to up load some picture I could not for the life of me get that bloody “capatica thing where the words are JUMBLEED UP when you get your log in code wrong I had given up so this is the result, some one I think trunker 08 sent a private mail but I cannot retrieve it , so if your out there send to” peggydeckboy" thank you Buzzer sorry to use your topics but it is so popular I’m sure he will see it ■■ dbp.pd
Jimmer she still looks good after all this time, MH moment for sure especially for us oldies who used to drive them and thought they were the mutts nuts.
Here is shot of Billy Mallin who worked for us back then and upped sticks to the USA and now runs his own Volvo rig, as you can see he is sporting the latest in Davies International fashion, we are trying to expand into that market so have to make the public aware, Buzzer.
Some great toys you have there Wrighty…
Oo… That looks a nasty growth on that steer JD…
Billy Mallin looking good and I like that hat too.
Have sent you a PM.
Balders I was a bit worried about those growths but with modern technology was able to send those pics to the vet before he does the TB test on the 1st March and he diagnosed them as just worts which he says will drop of in time by them selves but he can look when he comes to make sure.
