Sorry Mate have no idea if he drove for Hills but then you are going back over 30 years when he worked for us, I know he drove taxi’s for A2B in Totton at weekend’s while he worked for us then went full time for them till he got his own plate and started on his own, we did have some good laughs in those old days, cheers Buzzer.
Dispatcher, I know an Alan Hall that drove for RS Hills, possibly the man you are thinking about■■?
Pete
Hi Dieselcowboy just out of interest this is a shot of SJL the F89 we also had converted at Hartshorne with a Granning air lift axle, the truck used to belong to Geoff Gilbert from Lincolnshire, cheers Buzzer.
AND,was driven by Tony Mapson… Lol
Thanks John, yes I’ve seen that picture from Mappo before, that was one good looking truck.

What about the one good looking driver? Sorry. It was Mappo. No offence intended Tony. Regards Charlie
None taken Charlie…good job I know ya… Lol
Whilst lurking in the hedgerows around Segensworth…don’t ask…I found some of these, secreted about a tree stump by a gravel path…I decided to taste such vintners delight…and…to my amazebubbs…quite quoiffable. I ask myself did it fall off the back of a fridge box or had some other unscrupulous type, hid it for collection later? Where is exactly your vinyard Mssr.Busby? Salut!
Well Gazzer usually the one with the hawk eyes it states quite clearly on the bottom of the label “South Eastern Australia” that is where the vineyard is, alas it must be a distant cousin of mine as the spelling is with an “S” and not the double “ZZ” but sure I am going to look into it as I could be a benefactor one way or another and could do with some extra vonga as its tough being a poor pensioner, Buzzer.
C’mon, in you youthful years you were Buzby before you became Buzzer. Those convicts speak through their teef and may have been mispelt. I know it’s a possibility you salted away your fortunes to keep the inheritance taxes low.Nice wine, good investment, get on that plane and look 'em up before Horry does!
God save the Queen, lucky the corgi’s have been fed !
Just thought some one else might share my sense of humour, Buzzzer.
Good morning.
Bit too chilly for the old Ambre Solaire!
bit of sleet no problem
Just to let viewers of this thread know that Andrew Morrison who has contributed lots of pictures of International Transport as it is today with DIT has left R44 GEL and Tracy Island behind and gone on to new pastures. Andrew did leave Horry loads of his collection for which I thank him so we will get a trickle of snaps to come. Personally I think we all wish we did more snapping while we did the job just like Andrew has done but hindsight is a wonderful thing and its too late for us now. Hopefully some one else will take up the roll of company editorial and I wish Andrew all the best in his new job, Buzzer.
Spot on Buzzer! I think I’ll try the ‘My Dog’ diet myself!
David
Old school.
