Would not have been able to take two places 3 weeks ago when that ship was on the bramble bank, hell they were double parked all along there. You need to wrap up warm this time of year as you are really just sitting there can get very cold.
Joe will be back to 4 hosses in a moment as I bring the forth back to work, he’s been on box rest for 3 months so will bring him back to match fitness slowly, cheers Buzzer.
Me and Cluey were reminicing about the job and the camaraderie of days gone.
We all wished we had taken more photos, especially when group photos appear and we were having a great time.
There are claimants that would love to be able to go back to the job…but it wouldn’t be the same.
One thing I noticed, as good as Mr.Morrison is in the job/fleet photos there are never any group driver photos. That means none of them like their photo taken/they don’t get together other than for tipping and loading because they can’t stand each other! So much for today’s camaraderie…nein danke!

Now, now Gazzer I think a few will disagree as Andrew does take the odd shot of other drivers abeit not in a group but then he is a little obsessed with trucks and ships and things. A lot of followers on this thread some who don’t come from this neck of the woods do like to look in on the up to date runnings of a (British) International transport company as there are not many of us left nowadays, maybe I should cut of his supply of pickled eggs and onions off until this matter is resolved, best regards Buzzer.

Here you go Gazzer, bit of driver camaraderie for you
One more for you. Who said romance was dead
thats the thing Horry but then most of ours were in restaurants or bars, worse for wear as a rule! Names to faces and trucks…thats the way to go.
Truck so fresh it’s still got it’s wrapper on!
Hi John coming back to you from another thread , spoke to Evan at Wyvern this morning Jose Rivera worked there before I had connection with them so it would have been in the eighties.Sounds like it was a good job you didn’t get involved there he was there only short time, as the chap said on the other link he went on to set up santana freight. Apparently he worked for G B E before Wyvern.

Hi Buzzer,
I’m looking for any info you can give me about HWL 972S, a six wheeled Volvo F12. I have a picture of it with a container on, and I’d like to feature it in a book that is being published shortly, but I need to write captions on each picture and any info would bulk out the captions a bit, plus make it a little more interesting for the reader. Any info would be appreciated, eg. what work it did, was it a 6 wheeler originally, drivers name etc, anything would be great.
Cheers,
Nick.
John,
that is perfect! Many thanks. I am finding as I ask for info I am getting loads of offers of photos for use but unfortunately the book is about the photos of one man, and it’s hard enough deciding which of his to use let alone any more I’m being offered! Thanks anyway. I will get that information written down now, and the photo will certainly appear, the book is due to be launched in June, in time for the Gaydon historic show, will let you know. Nick.
