Buzzer:
Now this is going back a little, not liked by every one but certainly you could put your money on his shirt to get the job done, but who is he ? in the kitchen of the old house that we lived in on the A27 at Bursledon. Note the directors car of the day through the window in the garage , a Hillman Hunter if my memory serves me well which you could get a super single in the back of should it be required, cheers Buzzer.

who is it John, and is that Deidre Barlow sitting at the table??

Here’s another old pic I just found…F380 which I think was Silly Keith’s ? Must have been 1995 just before you very kindly gave me a new FH. M33 GEL.
There’ll be a few who recognise that loading bay…

Hi Balders F380 was originally given to Gibbo who always dressed immaculate as if he was going for a night out.
No that’s not Deidre Barlow its the Bosses best friend they went to school together.
Another story about Gibbo I once had an ex Gilder 141 and the afore mentioned used to be the pilot of said machine and it flew, but it had a problem which was that if you pulled the stop cable it jammed, and you had to tip the cab to rectify the situation, Gibbo had an answer for this while waiting for a replacement cable to arrive. He made a sign to hang on the pull stop knob which simply read F-ck Off, which was to the point and effective to boot, cheers Buzzer.

PS. never bin there but looks like Syd’s place in San Fulgencio.

Sids…San Fulgencio…correct Buzzer

Remember getting the job of taking all the office furniture and forklifts down there when they started up, Wee Jock took the load out and got stuck in Spain at the border in a stike. He was there for days and think he made love to an old dog while there, every one said it was an alsation anyway, but I suspect you have done the same in the past eh Tone.
Daniel Hart went to live there and run the operation, took his wife with him and she was very fit by all accounts, JD

Balderique. F380 bought from Mr Compton. Was metallic blue. As said, Gibbo has her 1st, then Steve Wells (whacker), then Shaunee from Coventry. Ged was the last pilot before it was sold to Cliff Luxton. Good old bus F380.

Deirdre Barlow was actually the wife of one of our Customers, namely Frank Guest of Arrigonfrutta. You old boys would remember that as Piraccini Secondo in Cesena. Think they popped in for a cup of tea one Sunday afternoon and Mark happened to be there also. Probably on his way out that night.

Mappo, wasn’t called Aire de Bursledon for nothing!

Discharging in Bosnia but aint sure where, Buzzer.

img284.jpgThis is for Mappo case he did not get his second hand CM from Ricardo in Wellow, Buzzer
PS. You may have to expand it to read it Tone, or go to Specsavers for a stronger pair.

img280.jpg

Thanks for that Buzzer, I was able to read the second page but not the top
one…it,s a bit blurred…to me anyway.
Very impressive article though, you and Horry and Steve should be very proud.

Here is ex DIT man you all liked mainly because he took your trailer of you in the docks and did the UK bit.
We named him Jim’ll tip it, cheers Buzzer.

Yes he did Tone, he still pops in at the ranch every now and then, he must have the same sixth sense that you had cos it was just as we were sitting down for evening meal and in true “Boss” tradition was offered a place at the table which he duly accepted.
He has done very well with that business and is now into some of the big super markets, cheers Buzzer.

I knew you would put me straight Hori… Do you keep all that info in your head? Or have you been sitting up late at night for the past 30 years writing all the details down in a big ledger with a quill pen… If so , you really need to get out more

I know I did a couple of trips with Silly Keith’s so which one was that? Also I note the fan in the pic , wasn’t there something about a " fan club " around that time…

nice to see Shaunee Ged and Whacker mentioned… Cheers, Baldrique De France.
