Can I ask, how far down into Europe do you go? Especially on the supply runs for the cruise ships?
Hi Buzzer, Skodas looking very fine. Was wondering whats been said in both Warwick and Goteborg? 15 trucks may not be many compared to a large supermarket fleet but you are a high profile operator so youâd think they should be bothered. Anyway from what I hear the new FH still got teething problems which they seem incapable of solving so its win win to DIT, best of luck , ps think you ought to buy Andrew a video camera so we can have some movie diaries!

I do have a few vids but thought prob a bit boring to other people,maybe if i had a company video camera of the highest degree i could take some more interesting videoâs? Over to you Horry!! Iâll get rid of fly squatter if i can have a descent video camera,so long as you donât come with me as a passenger/second driver because after âDijon 91â ??nough said boss!!

Found this picture of Southampton water and the docks, cruise ships in and container terminal further up. Must say would like a shilling for every container that has been unloaded there, I help build that in the 60âs working for Kier construction who had the job of building new birthing facilities, how time has flown. cheers Buzzer.

Buzzer I recall bringing a couple of NCK crawler cranes down for KIER from Newton Chambers and they used to send a district engineer to off load you but "Snowie " the foreman at Chapeltown had shown me how to load and unload them so if they engineer was not there when the ramp was built they were off and as you say where as the time gone

Hi mate I forgot to say Kiers was a good payer even for labourerâs and the work was seven days a week if you wanted it, I was a teenager then and had lost me licence so threw me self into it for six months and got some dosh together and bought a second hand Ford Anglia. boy was life good cheers Buzzer.

The trouble is Charlie from where imâe sitting looking in they make all these rules and regulations in Brussels and we seem to be the only buggers who enforce them, every where else in Europe they donât play the game and carry on regardless. The other thing is the other day I watched two films on youtube taken in London by the same man visiting the same places, one was in the 30âs the other last year and the two films were running side by side and the difference was that in the 30âs film there were only white persons, had to put it that way or I would be in trouble. Where has our nation gone ? cheers Buzzer.

Better I get on to me news agent and order half a dozen, they might do well on fleabay, not the first time a featureâs bin done on the blue and whites it has happened a couple of times before and we still have copyâs or I did have but Hori has snaffed them into hiding cheers Buzzer.

Rich perhaps we ought to start a quota system in this country like they had with the permits, we take one in from Europe and then we send some one from here who has been on benefits for more than one year to where ever the incomer hailed from, seems pretty fair to me and before you ask I donât attend church on a Sunday as its full of heathens, no dole mungers either there all at the car boot earning a quick quid on the QT, cheers Buzzer.
Do you know the only real answer is pay decent wages , get a good driver base and hope the team around you dont take the â â â â and look after your gear .

It is with great sadness that I have been informed by his daughter in law that John âAnimalâ Smith has passed to that big truck stop in the sky last evening, I have visited him several times in the last couple of years and as you all know he let me post his pictures on TNUK he will be greatly missed. He was very much into his tractors and relative equipment in the later years being a regular at the Great Dorset steam fair until he could no longer do it. Funeral arrangement times will follow, RIP Smithy. Buzzer
