just look !!who said the stripes won’t match?? all respect to Horry for his metaculous(sorry spelling not my strong point) speccing of the trucks before hitting the tarmac & what a sight they are
big up the the blue n whites
can i just say ,this is probably the best truck i’ve ever drove/driven or i shoulld say thats drove me?? totally automatic does not mean removing ones brain as it probably takes more of it to get the best out of the truck or so i’m led to believe!!Been a very hard week gettiing used to it & still learning but all said & done its fu*~in brilliant for the driver plenty of room inside & specced right for us !!! & Looks Good Too which is always a bonus !!!
Just gotta say to all that know me i’m now officially a SCANIA convert can’t understand why iv’e been driving Volvo’s for so long lol
I agree with you Andrew. Most of my driving life with VOLVO’s and now a SKODA convert. They do what they say on the tin. Not cutting edge technically, not luxurious but they don’t clatter and clunk when you go down the road, even the ones that are 3 and 4 years old.
HOWEVER! They do breakdown and some more than others. It’s the same as the VW Golf adverts proclaiming quality workmanship (Squeaky earring??) but on the reliability scale they are only average. In both cases you pay top dollar for the vehicle in it’s class. I would hate to own one without an R&M package.
Are you 2 pedal or 3 pedal auto? Ours are 2 pedal, I would say competent, not outstanding but then I have never driven VOLVO iShift, the dogs doo dahs by all accounts. You could pronounce your opinion between the two.
I wasn’t sure of the new stripes etc at first, but now I have seen them on the road, they really do look the business.

Nice to see the fly squatter back in the windscreen, makes you a bit easier to spot than the rest!

There are no flies on Andrew but you can certainly see where they bin, cheers Buzzer.
PS. New sausages manufacturing end of this week if you are around.
The future is bright with the Blue and white’s, now that goes back a good way and we even had “T” shirts with that logo on at one time. Wonder if any of the drivers have any negatives about there new charges, cheers Buzzer.
Got to sayhad the new R series since the new year and the improvement from our 61 plates is second to none
Saw my first Davies Scania this morning heading onto the Isle of Sheppey
Darkness just breaking but I think it was V22 GEL ? Certainly looked imposing compared to the Volvo.

Hi Ringrose don’t suppose you know who is behind kenttruckpics.com as he has a picture of R1 GEL for sale on ebay and is saying no one has the right to copy it without his permission, which is a bit rich as no permission has been granted from Davies International for them to use any images. Would have been nice to have been asked don’t you think cheers Buzzer.

Sorry do not know him Buzzer but looks like he is based around Maidstone and has an obsession with sitting on the M20 taking pictures of Eddie Stobart
Also the quality and location of pictures are not in the same league as your Official Photographer.
Maybe contact him and advise Davies have image rights and he has to pay for the privilege !
A couple of night shots in Tracey Island we now got 7 & they are from L-R ;;R44GEL,R99,R1,R77,T33,T22 & V88GEL

We could always get him to contribute to the calander not with photo’s just with the proceeds he makes from selling pics of Davies trucks but then judging by the quality that won’t be much will it??
