Davies Int. Southampton. With photos (Part 1)

C,mon Horry, get it right…it was a yorkie bar. :unamused:

Stuart: What Tone has just said about you in wellies has just given me nightmares, wellies and your t-shirt with Im so perfect it frightens me.an image that would get the kirmits going… :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

+Hey Balders as you are up in the mountains now make sure them spuds are “pom de terrace” and not “pom de terre”,cheers Buzzer.

Good evening TIR. Given your dazzling continental career may I suggest a Toblerone would be a more fitting tide over between Ham, Egg and Chip stops. This is of course if you had ‘done the doggy bag’ by the time you reached Tancarville. Anyway, in the original Yorkie Ad, the gadgee was driving a 2800 and managed an nine hour shift in 30 seconds with no Ham, Eggs or Chips.
Hope you are keeping well.

Tone and Steve…
It is a frightening sight and possibly a worrying development the wellies with a " Hello Kitty " motif…
You remember that T shirt from all that time ago! I have photo of me in that , with a Groucho Marx false nose and glasses, smoking one of Bob Courts’ Havanas at Villa Formosa… No drink taken either!

Speaking of 'photos and frightening sites. I have one of you, Dave Pope and a couple of others sunbathing at the back of my trailer by the old wreck on yet another weekend stop over… You are wearing an extremely tight pair of denim shorts and sandals… Tone is nowhere to be seen. Had you locked him in his cab for the weekend and borrowed his ensemble?
Fortunately for both of us, I don’t have a scanner. :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Buzzer, have a look at the post on long departed Southampton hauliers… You might be able to throw some light on the ex Hills driver used to live near your old drum in Swanwick… Cheers! Balders.

Haha, the ‘doggy bag’, Dinner, four beers at the bar and a litre or 200 cigs all for £6.00, old Townsend Thorsen used to know how to treat a driver!!

Right Mappo shall we make it April the first to ship out just in case of any hiccups, and your right with the trackers as one can tell where they are with the aid of Dynafleet by Volvo any where in Europe to within 5 yards, also when they started how fast they are going and in which direction ,all with a click of a button on the computer so definitely no hiding place now Rich, cheers Buzzer.

Hi John,

Ideal for Tone he could put a washing line between those marker posts to dry his shorts, and that air cleaner would hide a load of duty free when he shipped in,once every 6 months. :unamused: :unamused:

Still waiting for you and Charlie to bring your horses over so we can go to the Royal Oak

Regards
Richard

Hi Richard I take it the royal oak is the one at Fritham,if so when in my teens it is a place I frequented a lot and in fact I went in there for some dutch courage on my wedding day all those moons ago, some people said I knew I was on to a good thing and did not need any alcoholic nerve buster but there you go,of course the Boss didn’t turn out to bad a judgement in the end and she is still willing to go to work to keep me in horsefeed so all in all it turned out to be a good days work.As for Charlie he has to get a licence to come this far south so im’e not sure he will be able to make it,cheers Buzzer.
PS.Mappo would love to drive that and you are right, plenty of room on the line for his smalls but I would have to supply a tent as it is a non sleeper and I can see him trying to claim an hour a day to put it up and take it down,we would fall out for sure.
