Back in the 80s and 90s,it was all the rage to fit black fake bulls in the windscreen, and items of a bull fight, those spear things, and not forgeting the international flags of all the countries that you had driven through, naff or what.
Although more often than not it was all the flags of countries they hadn’t driven through
ive got a full width dash one in my 4 series with nothing on it but when i park up on a night out i can chuck anything on it what are you supposed to keep on it when driving and i also got those mfi cupboards from holland so i keep everything in them keeps my cab tidy .

Well on mine I have laptop (that’s never used when driving), books, paperwork, iPad etc. Stuff that is useful to keep to hand. Scanias are terrible for not having anywhere to put anything down. If I’m gonna get fined for it then might as well make it worthwhile. No point being fined for an empty table!
I have one in my truck which never has anything on it whilst driving, I hate seeing endless amounts of crap lying about the dash of the cab. I only use it at night for setting a laptop on or making dinner.
To be honest I’m not really bothered about a fine for the table, I drive a N. Irish Scania pulling a fridge trailer for a dubious company. The table is the last thing VOSA are worried about.

Ah fair enough. My truck is very well lived in. It’s quite startling how much stuff I carry!
I have one on the passenger side which I use for making my food etc on or placing the bowl on it which contains said food.
The one I have in the middle is for the iPad,lappy and other assorted gadgets that I carry with me.
Don’t have nothing on them whilst driving,as for Vosa then they must have conflicting issues regarding them as one of ours got stopped and was told to remove them, then stated that if you had the mirror above the windscreen so you can see what’s in front of your motor then they are fine.
So the mechanics at our place fitted the mirror to the front above the windscreen, job done.
There are many at our place who have them fitted and not one has been pulled up over this issue.I got pulled in Carlisle awhile back and they didn’t bat an eyelid when they got in the truck.

You disparaging man you, Toby. “those spear things” my rrrs. They are bandilleras. I am proudly surveying mine as I type this, out in the garden. They are standing at an angle,in the window of my garden shed. As for the little flags.I have just checked the ticks in my 1990 Euro Atlas, and I am entitled to have 20-- of those , but only had 10 dangling across the corners of the windscreen. They are now dangling in the side windows of my car. At the bottom of the rear screen of which, are my SFOR and KFOR plates. (Along with my H4H stickers.) Naff my rrrs
To get back “on post”. As for Luke,s 130 euro dash table. A lot of us will have slept on smaller planks.
I have 1 on the passenger side, not much on it during the day but only flat surface to make my dinner on. VOSA have mentioned it even went to the trouble of getting his mate to stand in the blind spot to see if table in or table out made any difference. They did say that if I had a blind spot mirror fitted the table wouldn’t be an issue. Anyway didn’t get the ticket that time.
skids:
I had 1 in another truck about 5 years ago and was pulled by VOSA, they didnt give me a prohibition but did tell me to remove it or he would.
I had a head on collision in Spain in the same truck and said table went everywhere along with everything that was on it. My large blue gas bottle with ring on top made a bit of a mess as well. It was like being inside a washing machine full of heavy objects!
