Dangerous trucking jobs

Hey guys and gals…

Long time no speak from me on here…to make you all aware, I’m now working for Sainsbury’s in Basingstoke (still on agency) and I’ve just come back from a month in Florida gaining my Private Pilots Licence.

But since getting back yesterday, and back to work tomorrow…I’m starting to think if there’s something more exciting out there for me to do. However…I’m very picky and it must pay very well. The kind of work I’m thinking would be driving really long distance, to danger areas and the sort. I don’t mind the risk of getting shot at.

The current deal for me is this…Sainsbury’s is only a 25 minute bike ride from my house, it pays fairly well but the hours are crap and long…but at least I get to go home every day.

What I want to know is if there are any companies (within an hours drive) that do long distance work to danger areas, that pay fantastic rates for dedicated drivers and what they’re like to work for? I’m not that bothered really as things are comfortable for me at Sainsbury’s…but I’m just curious as to what else is out there.

That’s the post that sparked my post…problem is, I’ve only got a basic HGV C+E…Not licenced for this heavy dooda its asking for…and as I said…pay has to be great. The wages they’re offering aren’t much better than what I’m getting at Sainsbury’s.

so you been to florida to get your private pilots licence…isnt that what alkieda( sorry about spelling ) done prior to 9/11…coulda got it from biggin hill a lot cheaper…anyway you can pick up a few parcels for me from amsterdam, drop em off as you fly over my garden…and i`ll pay ya later…good job…good pay…and dangerous…all 3 in one…and guaranteed to be home every night. much better than a day at sainsburys… :laughing: :laughing: :laughing: :laughing: :laughing:

Do you even know how much it costs to get a PPL at Biggin Hill?..it costs about 10k. In Florida, it cost me about 7k in total…that included flights, hire car for the month, all tests, accommodation and spending money…and also I’ve got a night rating…Biggin Hill is cheaper is it? :wink: And not a single terrorist got a PPL, they only learnt how to go up, down, left and right…I’ve been a gliding instructor for 4 years no so I already knew how to do that stuff. But my god America is so ignorant…its no wonder terrorists hate them!

I’ve only got a private pilots licence at the moment mate…its akin to having a C1 licence and trying to drive an aussie road train…its just not going to happen :stuck_out_tongue:

Not at all…I only play Euro truck simulator. I just happened to find the Sainsbury’s colour scheme so I like to pretend. And to give you something else to fuel on…whilst being a student pilot two weeks ago…me and another friend of mine followed eachother on a cross country flight…in formation…■■■■ I’m cool!
