Hey guys and gals…
Long time no speak from me on here…to make you all aware, I’m now working for Sainsbury’s in Basingstoke (still on agency) and I’ve just come back from a month in Florida gaining my Private Pilots Licence.
But since getting back yesterday, and back to work tomorrow…I’m starting to think if there’s something more exciting out there for me to do. However…I’m very picky and it must pay very well. The kind of work I’m thinking would be driving really long distance, to danger areas and the sort. I don’t mind the risk of getting shot at.
The current deal for me is this…Sainsbury’s is only a 25 minute bike ride from my house, it pays fairly well but the hours are crap and long…but at least I get to go home every day.
What I want to know is if there are any companies (within an hours drive) that do long distance work to danger areas, that pay fantastic rates for dedicated drivers and what they’re like to work for? I’m not that bothered really as things are comfortable for me at Sainsbury’s…but I’m just curious as to what else is out there.
Join the TA mate, you’ll soon wind up in Afghan with all the bullets whizzing past your head you can wish for.

That’s the post that sparked my post…problem is, I’ve only got a basic HGV C+E…Not licenced for this heavy dooda its asking for…and as I said…pay has to be great. The wages they’re offering aren’t much better than what I’m getting at Sainsbury’s.
So you want something within an hour from home, something that lets you get home every night but that something has to be DANGEROUS, well paid and long distance?
Can I have whatever your on?

I think you should go and read what I said again
I said at present I get to go home every night, not that I want to go home every night…silly boy

You,re on a wind up mate, right? Who in their right mind does,nt mind being shot at
get a job doing parcel deliveries in Mosside. If you start as a pilot let us know the airline for Christs sake, so we can all avoid it

Well I was thinking Virgin Atlantic or BA…so those are the ones to avoid
But seriously…If the money is good enough then I don’t mind the risk that comes with it.
Yeh but if you are the pilot, with your outlook, your passengers might
Out of interest do you REALLY go out on your own in charge of a truck

Not at all…I only play Euro truck simulator. I just happened to find the Sainsbury’s colour scheme so I like to pretend. And to give you something else to fuel on…whilst being a student pilot two weeks ago…me and another friend of mine followed eachother on a cross country flight…in formation…■■■■ I’m cool!
Cross country in formation
I take it all back YOU,RE MY HERO
I thought that’d change your mind. But please, do control your enthusiasm…I’m not gay and I prefer younger chicks…maybe your daughter if you have one and she’s between 18-23?
