I find some of the more idiot replies on here offensive. If any one wants to drive like an idiot then so be it. Like I said “Luck runs out”
If I see someone driving like an idiot I will report them and being my car has digital recording cameras to the front and back the evidence will be there for all to see.
This equipment can easily be transfered to any truck I drive.
When I have done some covert filming I will upload the captured video on here if allowed or on You tube.I use this gear for training drivers and instructors and also helping Eastern Europeans understand the sometimes idiotic design of British roundabouts and road markings.
And before you all go off on one about Poles etc, they get paid exactly the same as British people I deal with and are in the main more pleasant.
Oh such perfection in your lifestyle, you never do anything wrong do you not.
And on Saturday afternoons you can be found at the end of the platform at Wolverhampton station taking locomotive numbers.
Are we supposed to be impressed at your electronic wizardry, remember this is a truckers website and most ruckers would punch you if they met you not thank you.
how well do you know these coppers, nod nod, know what I mean nod nod nudge nudge, wink wink say no more.
Good morning Okey. I don’t like trains. The coppers are colleagues of mine iinvolved with advanced driver training. Many are ex coppers, all are class 1 and have been trained at Hendon ,most under the auspicious eye of Chris Gilbert.
Okey. I do drive trucks and have a great interest in them and those that drive them. As for being MR Perfect I am far from it.
However i’m passionate about driving and road safety and improving standards on our roads. If there is something wrong with that then please expand.
Nothing wrong with improving standards, I fully agree with you on that.
But threatening drivers with recording them trying to get the job done and trying not to be impeded by drivers hell bent on causing as much delay as poosible on a road that does not jsutify a 40 limit stinks of, an holier than thou attitude.
Driving was a job at one time that only a certain type of person would do, with cabs that had no heating and it took a week to get from Scotland to London and back, it was real working class job. Now we’be got big comfy cabs and tautliners, better roads and motorways, you’ve now got the middle classes wanting a piece of the action even guys with a nevous dispossition want to have a go.
Now in there wisdom the powers that be are making the job one that needs qualifications and taking away the chance for the less educated to drive trucks for a living.
Have a survey of truckers about their education and I guarentee that the majority are have little or no formal qualifications, I myself left school at 14 with no qualifications but am still a f’ing good driver.
Now your telling me that I’m not good enough to be a driver because I flaunt the law which in my view is a stupid law on some roads. Yes if the road warants it I drive to or below the limit, but if the road is rural straight and the conditions are right I will go over thwe limit. That is where my experiance comes in and if I come across a truck that is doing 40 and I feel it is safe to pass him I will do.
You are a driving snob, what makes you think you are a better driver than any member on here because you’ve taken a course in advanced motoring, a self promoting body, oh I forgot you have ex police as members and instructors, I’ve seen some bad driving by the police, I’ve even seen a motorway police car run into the back of another car on the M25 in fairley light traffic.
What your advocating is not promoting safe driving your promoting elitism.
I may not have the eloquance that you and happy kieth have but I have a passion about driving that is second to none, safe skillfull driving and not my way or noi way that you say we should do.
