I see we are back to Jakey, Robby.
I am afraid I take an interest in what is going on in the world with this pandemic. Never experienced one before and it’s had quite an impact on many in different ways.

I’m afraid some of the conspiracy theories cheese me off a bit like bad drivers.

Where do your interests really lie then RR?

Past 60 posts (very approx count, I ran out of fingers and toes after 24)
17 covid testing
17 covid parties
8 covid Canada
followed by 5 on dust.

But to be fair most of those covid posts were telling anyone who listened RR isn`t bothered at all.

Frangers mate seriously,.I keep telling you …you have far too much time on your hands, you’re now counting and cataloguing my posts?? :open_mouth:
Ok,.I’ll explain …nothing to do with protesting at all, but in a strange way I just feel drawn to the threads you post on…in a ‘‘case study’’ type of vibe.

I’m ashamed to admit it  … but I’ve always had a mocking nature to stuff and to people and their actions which I find bizzare,.and as I keep telling you, your obsession and morbid fascination with all this stuff intrigues me…hope that explains .

So as far as it goes, business as usual, you keep showing yourself up,.I ll keep taking the ■■■■…sorry mate can’t help myself.

Now then…your attempted King of Denmark/A level gag, has gone right over my swede.
Please explain.

No offence Jaje/Jakey,.take or as a term of endearment.
Robby is fine, it reminds me of my old Granda,ge called me that and it eventually progressed to the Rob Roy tag, when I was a bit older…and…I’m sure you are of a similar age to him now as he was then.

There you go Frangers 2 more posts to add to your graph that you are constructing.
I’m flattered by the attention btw.: :sunglasses:

“The lady doth protest too much, methinks” is a line from “The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark” Shakespeare.

Personally I dont feel the need to make *very* frequent visits to The Toon thread to comment on how much I dont care about footie. Maybe I should so that you can appreciate how cool I am in not caring about it?

I probably wont though, cause thats the kind of guy I am.

This is what my antigen test looks like two lines to me…
But someone told me unless it’s two clear lines it don’t count

A faint line is a positive tes so you should have gone and got a PCR test to confirm it. I guess your just ignoring it and spreading it around cause you feel your right. Try following the guidelines.

I don’t think it’s the case that if you have it you automatically spread it around .
For example in my case of this…
2 of my little granddaughters caught it at school.
My daughter (their Mam obviously) who had been around them all the time had not caught it, nor their Dad, nor my Mrs nor me,…who had been in contact ith them the previous weekend…
I was reluctantly coerced to get tested by my daughter,.who works in a medical centre so is mildly obsessed (not as much as Franglais btw   ) so she insisted on a lateral flow test… for ‘‘my own good’’. …Also all clear/negative.
So go figure…maybe it has something to do with a natural build up by the 4 of our immune systems ?
But why let reality get in the way of hysteria eh?

Rob your case was explained on the Today programme on Radio 4 this morning saying that are plenty of people out there who could bathe in a vat of covid and not catch it have had similar examples in my family with the children so no need for a thesis as it’s already been done  only caught the start of it 'cos Border force thought that an hour spent with them in Dover this morning would be an hour well spent

Ahh got you,.I must have been off school the day they covered that, but tbf my exam pass was in English Language rather than English Literature, but thanks anyway.

You should broaden your horizons mate :open_mouth: …, the more traditional and mundane hobby/interest of football, is a far more enjoyable pastime than a pre occupation with Covid… yeh seriously.
But forgive me Frangers,.I would NEVER have you down as, nor accuse you of being ‘‘cool’’, but if that is what you aspire to, you’ll find you get more invites to parties if you dropped the Covid ice breaker.

Anyway, what happened to all this daily Covid testing? Omicron never did hit that hard (whether down to vaccination, natural immunity or not so severe strain). Maybe if the country returns to some semblance of normality, Franglais will STFU. Cue Franglais, entering stage left with a pile of papers trying to show them to me (or any other passing lorry driver) and me looking disinterested and increasing the pace of my walk, gradually into a jog and a full-paced run.

Daily testing?
As suggested by one PM Johnson about a month ago?
Ask him, not me.
.

Well, it is the thread topic after all, which I know doesn’t mean that much to you. Any tenuous link allows you to start posting links to threads. I suppose I click on the thread because I wonder how “Daily Covid 19 Testing” could be on its 13th page of 30 posts a piece. As I have said before, this thread has probably avoided getting shifted because of the thread title, not anything that is actually being posted in the thread.

I suppose you could start a thread with the title “Franglais’ tedious Covid links / discussion thread” and see how far you get with that one. However no, far easier to find another thread and start questioning the integrity of any post you don’t agree with and citing lack of evidence for any opinion that is not your own. It isn’t really the sort of forum where your typical reader has the time or energy to sift through mountains of evidence for many reasons. For me this includes: it isn’t my job, I don’t have the time or inclination to sift through mountains of evidence and it doesn’t improve my life. Yes, I do watch the news and keep myself roughly up to speed with the Covid situation. The minutiae doesn’t interest me, I leave it to the professionals.

Get it, got it, good.

Only 18 out of the 36 sample size became infected. So you are saying 50% have natural immunity without prior infection or vaccination?

In “Stu-World” everything says natural immunity doesn`t it?

The study says 18 of 36 were infected by one droplet.
It doesn`t say how many were infected by two droplets or by ten droplets, or anything else.

It says nothing explicitly about natural immunity, and anyone drawing inferences would be rushing in where angels are fearful to tread.
So it`ll be on YouTube soon.

Are you saying the Today programme ran an article that is complete ■■■■■■■■ how BBC is that? Somehow I think your bias is clouding your judgement highly unlikely that an article on one of the BBC’s prime news programmes is going to spend 10 minutes talking complete ■■■■■■■■.

I heard the piece you referred to, and it sounded very credible.
No one was drawing any conclusions from it, but it did sound like a good avenue of research, leading hopefully, to better vaccines. bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m00140b2
Starts 2-38

ED.
And not pointing at Mazzer particularly, but doubtless some will pick out snippets.
IMHO listen to ALL of it and take the Prof advice at the end.

TBH I’m not particualry arsed one way or another but it is right that anyone who has done credible research is heard

Probably a little hasty with that post and no of course it’s not. Just listened to the clip and yes it sounds very feasable.

Just get a little fed up of some of the bull posted sometimes.
