I am to be having a euro 6 xf shortly, does the same mod work on them?

that’s what I was told at scania. it doesn’t concern the number of spots mounted, but the maximum allowed lighting at once, all the spots on at once would be over the limit
In the mid 90’s at Hygena we had Scania 113s that had buttons on the dash so you could have top lights on, main beams on and foglights on all at the same time with the high beam. It was saved for those special occasions when you got a car driver who put his high beams on because he thought you had yours on or didn’t turn them off when you gave them a warning flash. Turning night into complete daylight usually got the point across.
It IS illegal to have them all come on at once without having a switch to be able to select them. Its not illegal to have them switched so you can either have them all come on or just one set of working lights.
I hate to be a boring old ■■■■ but I have been driving trucks in Europe and North America for over 35 years and never needed any extra lights, just managed with dipped and main beams!

The lighting on the euro 6 is different and has it’s own ecu …so wouldn’t recommend it ,if anything goes pop no warranty
