They will enforce that Driver can’t do Weekend Break in the Cab,to set an example as EU takes too long to go ahead. (BAG is against it)
The German just fed-up with Eastern EUler leaving for Month in the Cab.
Normally if they get anything going is it shortly later everywhere

As 'tis the season of goodwill to all men I shall translate this for you mate (I normally just scroll right on through his posts as cute and endearing they may be life is just too short tbh)
Basically German officialdom have decided to follow their French and Belgian brethren so lead in putting to a stop lorry drivers taking a full 45 break in their vehicle. This is a result of their animosity towards the flood of EE vehicles decimating their own national transport industry.
Think I got that about right.

I’m fluent in utter ■■■■■■■■, so I think I can make some sense of this.
I think he means the Germans are going to enforce this, rule from the Drivers hours regulations.
Where reduced weekly rest periods are taken away from base, these may be taken in a vehicle, provided that it has suitable sleeping facilities and is stationary.
As it only mentions Reduced weekly rest it has been interpreted that a Full weekly rest must not be taken in a vehicle. However I believe that the Belgium’s and French have already had a go at enforcing this, although I don’t know how successful it’s been.
I would like to know if the Germans are still insisting that all workers on German soil, regardless of nationality or where their employ is based, must pay the German minimum wage. I know it was taken to the EU, but I haven’t heard an out come and I have read that France and Austria are thinking of doping the same.
Basically these Countries are sick of having low paid workers camped out in their Country for weeks on end.
and finally Maoster beat me to it.
Well done trucknet translators.
It doesnt really solve the problem, it just means that now there building villages of wellness containers everywhere. Just like they have done in calais for the economic migrants/criminals.

Santa forget to drop you your new irony hat?
Hansons post is valid as Immigrant is as foreign as you or I and English is his first language as can be regularly seen when he posts and forgets his persona at times.
Can anyone find an official update on this. Inselaffe? If its true and is enforced it really would be a big problem, both for the drivers and logistics in general. very interested to see what happens.

But only on occasion, like now…
The rest of the time it’s a random garbled incomprehensible mess.
It’s like you can’t work out how unintelligible to be at times!
If Uk companies start much more work for continental and will pay some 2000-2500 per month that are you agree stay in truck for up to 2 weeks.??What you think ■■

Leaving aside Immigrant’s antics with English, he’s made a very valid point IMHO.
I’ve had a look at the link that Immigrant posted above.
The German authorities seem to be considering the implications of clarifying Article 8(8) of the drivers’ hours Regs.
I didn’t use the ‘translation’ that Immigrant suggested though, so what follows is my own personal translation of it, so it’s guaranteed to be a google-free zone.
The headline reads (to me) as: BAG Chief criticises German [Government] proposal for dealing with motorway nomads.
In short, the German Ministry of Transport is considering a proposal to enforce the requirement that a driver cannot take a regular weekly rest in a truck cab.
The President of the German equivalent of DVSA (the BAG,) Andreas Markquardt, has said that he considers the proposal to be ill-conceived (falls short of what’s needed) in that it doesn’t take account of the increased risk of load thefts if drivers have to take their regular weekly rest away from their vehicle. He prefers a Europe-wide approach to the issue.
From my reading of the German article, I’m not seeing any timescale in which any decision will be made, or even if the proposal will be taken any further.
For now, it seems to me that they’re just talking about it and the President of the BAG has put in his 2 Pfennigs worth.
IMHO he makes a fair point.
Zat isss all very interesting indeed.
If they want change first must change Cabotage rulles from 3 job in 7 day to 1 job or some 3 job in last 30 day.
2.Every truck must have GPS system and keep all information for at least 30 day.
3.Change diesel prices.Price must be simeral in all country.
4.Make deposit system form penalty.
But where drivers sleep not very important .Better sleep in cab than sleep in 8- 12 Bed Mixed Dormitory Room where will be plenty drink people and much worse.

Seems to have gone quiet on the German Minimum Wage front. We had the pleasure of being the first UK company to have to fill in the forms, several months ago. Heard nothing else since, I suspect it’s in limbo till the outcome of the appeal has been decided.
