Curries European, Coatbridge

Usual info, what are like to work for, I know they are looking for drivers but the wage £428 per week seems low for tramping, any advice would be welcome.

You were told wrong, the left hookers are at Coatbridge because it is the European groupage consolidation centre.
They still run UK trampers from there, as well as Stirling, Dumfries and Warrington.

I have never understood this logic, when I was tramping, meal allowance and night out money added up to £33 TAX FREE a day, over £150 a week!!!,not many occupations pay you a meal allowance to stuff your fat mouth full of food!!..I was taking £500 a week for mincing round the country in a truck, its hardly rocket science is it or particulary taxing work?? :unamused:
It never ceases to make me laugh the people who think they are the be all and end all and should be paid champagne money when they drive a lorry round the country listening to the radio and drinking tea??
Get a grip/reality check or go and get educated and do something that does pay you more than £500 a week for sitting on your arse moaning.

:unamused:

Are you on some kind of stimulants?
I really think it is your good self Sir that needs to get a grip on reality!
I have a good education & gave up driving lorries years ago because the wages are diabolical & getting worse for the hours, etc.
You don’t mention all the other eventualities that lorry drivers have to contend with let alone the out of pocket expenses real lorry drivers have that stay away from home for long periods.
You maybe did drive a lorry round the country listening to the radio and drinking tea, I never did!
Perhaps if you did your homework & took the time to read some of the comments more closely on here you would discover that indeed you were lucky, as there are a lot of drivers that are falling a long way short of the £500 a week you speak of!

As I stated it was a rumor I heard, I must agree the coatbridge yard looks like it was hitting by a missile

So 5 x 33 = £165 EXPENSES & SUBSISTENCE which left your net WAGE £335 , like the guy said …a poor WAGE, whether you mince around or not.

Correct. Why do drivers think that meal allowance etc. is part of their wage? Chief Execs, managers in fact, all manner of people are allowed expenses, often for tax reasons. But this is not because they earn a ■■■■■ wage, it is in addition to a decent wage if not an excellent wage - and they don’t live in a steel box all week either!!.

Frankly the difference seems to be that some drivers are just not intelligent enough to see it…

Nice to hear wages are going up. :astonished: Last year curries was only paying £395 takehome for a 60hr week with 5 nights out. :open_mouth:

I had an interview last week .Here’s hoping but I don’t know because of experience . He said they’ll contact me this week . I want into European just now i’ve no money to go to Europe so may as well go for this .

Do you wear flip flops and carry a lisle bag, you truly are a Prat.the best excuse I’ve ever heard to take dirt poor wages is I can’t afford a holiday so ill try getting into mainland Europe this way. Sorry your not a Prat but a bellend
