the only ones i have seen recently abroad have been lithuanian or polish registered, boekstein (spelling) from holland have some working for them on polish plates, think they do a lot of airfreight
yer they employ poles on traction work, while we british workers sit at home on the dole…!!!
Did a couple of shifts for Curries about 18 years ago, and now I’m on the dole so I dropped off my CV, whilst I was making enquires at Nithcree and was told nowt doing.
i was parked next to one loading uk groupage couple weeks ago in como was a topline 420 on lithuanian plates
Curries of Dumfries,ha,more like Curries of Warsaw, wonder what rates they pay the commies?
was going to post on this topic ages ago and ask if curries had any uk trucks left cos all i see on the continent are lithuanian flipflops puling their trailers
They only have about 10 uk reg’d european trucks of there own, have a few foreign plated trucks but rest is done by taliban subbies,

worked for them out of stirling run by the dumfries office and worked there one week,
get drivers leaving you trailers with flat tyres on a thursday night and had 3 drops and one pick up on the friday,
where my first drop was which was also where i was to collect my backload,
traffic used to phone you every min of the day asking when you are going to be at delivery point also phone calls asking if you could work the extra day ok but at 4pm.

That’s about £290 take home, isn’t it?
£7.60 an hour, oooooo. I’ve seen better but most around here pay that but not for nights.
Might be worth going to the interview, if only to check on the wage, you could have been given duff gen.
yes that’s about 7.60 an hour but i think you could be right i should go for interview just for a look at the set up and wages keep you posted how i get on
