i once saw a Scania 4 series V8 Topline i think it was, the name was something like Keenleysides or something. It did look like an owner driver motor, it was pulling a flatbed trailer roped and sheeted load. It may have had the name on the sheets as well.
Anybody have a clue as to who im on about, or a picture?

It appears that C.G. has an ally in the name of Dave the Renegade. Nothing wrong about that , as they share interest in tippers.
Yes , I can see that Dave is a pillar of support to C.G. , but surely C.G. must know that some of his (C.G.) ridiculous comments are bound to ruffle more than a few feathers among former hauliers.
After all , at 18 years of age ( and that is assuming he is GENUINLY of that age and trained (?) in a transport education ),
then maybe he should try his hand in haulage . Without disrespecting the Ford Thames Trader , which helped you onto the first step of a business , then a 7 or 8 year-old 7.5 tonner should enable C.G. to prove his way forward.
We all had to start somewhere , but C.G. could have the advantage of a starter
contract via Stobarts.
Cheers , cattle wagon man.
I go on another forum where I post pictures of buses (Sorry) and occasionally add a comment about the operating company or vehicle . I have ridden on the odd PSV but have no experience of owning, driving or even mending said machines. Are you saying that before I have the right to do this I should buy and operate one for 40 years ■■ How many of the hundreds of people who collected train numbers (myself included when steam was the moving force) actually owned their own train. You can take an interest in something from outside and we should encourage this, not mock every mistake but put it right. I have spent my whole life amongst wagons but I learn more each day by coming on here.

Hello Dave & robroy
No robroy, that can’t have been me due to the fact I don’t wear glasses (I have good eyesight) and I was wearing a Red Check M&S shirt that I bought on Saturday. Which was your lorry and I’ll see if I got a photo of it ?
I glad you are looking forward to seeing my photos Dave. I will be posting some tonight on the thread. But, I won’t be going to Gaydon although I did look into going g when I found out about the show.

Hi ■■■■■■■■ Gill ,
What do you need a Passport for , when you seldom stray out of the Wigotn area , apart from the odd excursion to Stobbies at Carlisle ,- still within ■■■■■■■ ■■
As dew says, a Birth Certificate would be sufficient proof. Fetch it to the Slideshow in a couple of weeks, lad.
Cheers, cattle wagon man.
Old Scanias keep earning their crust in ■■■■■■■■
This 82 belongs to Alex McWhirter of Kirkby Stephen. No fancy frills or gimmicks , just a proper working wagon.
Alex started in business around 1961 , with an Austin FE 7 tonner cattle wagon , bought from Edgar Walker , Sedbergh.
Photographed at Brough , as participant of the Eden Classic Commercial Rally , 2012.
Cheers, cattle wagon man.

Hello cattle wagon man
I needed a passport to do my GCSEs when I was 15/16 (this was to prove that I was who I said I was). I got it when I was 15 and it runs out when I’m 19, next year. I’ve done very little with it apart for the occasion above

Hello truckfing
Thankyou for your efforts to steer the thread back to normality.
I can tell you that the top photo of the Thompsons Scania is pulling a Moblie Crusher, which Thompson run. They have had it for around 5 years and they take it all over the UK (know this because I have family who work at Thompsons).
The J & M Casson DAF CF is pulling a Prime Mollasas Trailer (who are based at Silloth Docks and who subcontract all there haulage to Cassons)Hi ■■■■■■■■ Gill ,
I would beg to differ the Thompsons truck is pulling a woos shreder and weve had it about 12 monthsthats david bomber wison driving it.

This is an earlier version that I photographed on Charnock Richard services a few years ago. I asked the driver for permission and then pointed out that the word SHREDDING was mis-spelled as SHREADING. I don’t think he appreciated being told that.

Considering that this is one of the"Please walk on eggshells sites so as not to up-set the children" “truckfing” I think your comment about mis-spelling is very subtle !! Obviousy different rules apply to whoever is posting!! Good interesting shot all the same,Cheers Dennis.
