I have been to plenty of Nigel’s shows and there is nothing Eddie related about them. The last one I went to had pictures of Ernie Moores and Thursbys from the 70s of wagons that I remembered well. I think there were some old Bewicks as well. Nigel researches and comes up with some good stuff, it is not what he took off a motorway bridge last week.

No reflection on Nigel "Truckfing, none whatsoever, and I’ve no doubt that they have been and will be most interesting shows. As you say, they focus on the older motors so I can’t see how it will attract The Wigton Elf !! I was just having a wind up ! If he does turn up I sincerely hope that Nigel will put a “fast eddie” loop on during the interval just to keep him quiet while you lads are supping your coffee and having sensible conversation without being asked stupid questions by Silly Bollox!! Cheers Dennis.

What are you like Bewick! You turn a perfectly carm, peacefull thread about, ■■■■■■■■ Haulage Companies, into a comic not unlike the Benio, who’s main subject matter is Mr ■■■■■■■■ Gill, i.e ME :astonished: :astonished: :astonished: :astonished:
What is your fasination in me Bewick my old mate, eh   I think I better go off and set up my own thread about myself where you can post your weird and wonderful questions and thoughts about me on it, i.e leaving the ■■■■■■■■ Thread alone and letting it get back to its proper topic, ■■■■■■■■ Haulage Companies.
Other resent weeks Bewick, this thread has become the ■■■■■■■ Companies & take the p*** out of ■■■■■■■■ Gill Thread aswell as been renamed the ■■■■■■■ Companies & ■■■■■■■■ Gill Thread along with the ■■■■■■■■ Gill Thread!   Are you trying to tell me you what a sperate thread about me?
This thread is been misused by YOU Bewick. I don’t mind your questions marra, not get me wrong, but I do wish the thread would every blue moon turn back to its propper topic, and not always been about me
I often log on in the morning and see theres been a post on here so I click on it to find out whats new, only to find its taking the p*** out of me ( :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: ) and not about the thing I’m most interested in, Lorries    .
Please, Please Bewick, turn this thread back to normal and let the topic of ■■■■■■■■ Haulage Companies exsist without the name CG poping up in any posts.
Kindest regards
CG

In an attempt to steer this thread back on line here are a few ■■■■■■■■ pictures taken recently. No unneccessary comments please though any reasonable questions are welcome and if you do not ask how are you ever going to find out ?

In reply to “CG”'s rantings and ramblings !!! TBH “CG” the majority of your, usually, misinformed and comical posts seem to invite a similar comical response and not only me from what I gather from earlier posts on this thread. Can I also say that there is ,and never will be ,any intended malice on my part,it is only one big wheeze to me so if you are unable to accept or understand my sense of humour, well thats just tough Marra!!Anyhow whats a thread without a “bit of craic” ■■? Bloody boring I would suggest, and seeing that there will be 50/60 years between you and me and some of the other members on the site might I politely suggest that you “get a life” CG and don’t get puffed (might be use of a wrong word!) with your own self importance. That is,un-less of course, you are a “fast eddie” Troll and are a good deal older than we’er led to believe because,as in the case of the “fast one” everything is never just as it seems !!! Lighten up lad ! Oh! and why don’t you do a spell check prior to posting a comment,it dosen’t say much for Nelson Thomlinson literacy achievments with their former pupils,or were you Head Boy by any chance ? I was once a Form Prefect at Wigton Secondary a.k.a. “The Cabbage factory”,Kindest Regards and all the best me old Marra Peep peep!! Bewick.

steady bewick, by the look of his post hes been on some kind of liquid, maybe its what he,s been growing in his greenhouse, , an if he cant take a bit of banter, he can forget about ever being a wagon driver,
yesterday i got loaded for yam,(home) the forklift put the last lift on and drove down the yard, i was doing up the buckles when the wagon raised up to the top off the suspension, i looked seen nothing walked to the front, theres plastic and glass (not a lot of metal) and a forklift buried in the front of the cab, :imp: :imp: , “sorry i forgot you were there”, by the stick i got you would think i had run into him  the h&s didnt laugh neither kept saying what if i had been at the front, and kept me there 4 hours for photos, while the flt driver got sent home ■■ so its not only cg thats mad :unamused:

hiya,
Well Dennis our young pal namely CG is badly in need of a return to school, his spelling is atrocious, for someone who left school only five minutes ago, I haven’t a clue where the spell-check device is and wouldn’t even know how to use it, but I’m sure my word-mongering is in much better fettle than this young fellow is showing to us and it’s sixty one years since I faced the blackboard. If I’d ever been in the Bosses seat and able to hire and fire I would always demand a handwritten CV “a reference in my day” and wouldn’t accept a print-off from the computer, the sort of spelling depicted in
our friend’s last post would warrant him being put “to one side”. So young fellow give your “fast Eddie” viewing point a miss for a while and brush up on your literary skills you know it makes sense or alternatively find and use the spell check facility, PS when you do locate it please inform me I do struggle with the occasional word, there you go nobody’s perfect.
thanks harry, long retired.

 whaat nee santa, :frowning: , i just finished watching the limits of the law, tried for ages to get a copy, i thought it was smart watching big j,s seddons and erfs in the 70s, but what sammy anderson was doing in a scanny the tv company tried to with a caledonian ergo, a bit one sided really :frowning: cos if they really did compare british leyland would still be here, but a good bit of nostalgic haulage :sunglasses:, no he didnt use the forked end he used the heavy bit  i,ve got a rental low cab daf 85, by the optional extras, (■■■ lighter and radio) its a leyland redline rebadged  , i have drive with the visors down   , and in true bl tradition the ■■■ lighter doesnt work, the aircon does if you open both windows but the curtains flap about

Hiya “H”,I don’t think our young mucker realised the flak he would bring down on himself when he attempted to draw a line under the odd craics he was getting !! There’s a saying, “I only set out to drain the swamp but ended up with Crocodiles snapping at my arse” ! I think this description fits the young “CG” well eh! Cheers Dennis.PS found any Jennings Sneck Lifter yet “H” ?.

I saw that film when it first came out,World in Action I think the programme was called, they’ed no chance to keep up with Sammy’s driver,he did his own shunting as well from memory.Cheers Bewick.

Great shots of Grahams, especially the first B&W one with those final ten 111’s that George Holliday bought, they were supposed to be a “cracking” deal, well thats what he told me at the time! Cheers Bewick.

Hiya,
Spot on there Dennis I’ve never had the croc’s snapping at me jacksie but have had it deservedley ( spelling) kicked a few times, the old saying “They ask for all they get” is very fitting on this occasion methinks. Not seen any “Sneck Lifter” as yet but the “scout” is out.
