Hello again.
Does anyone have any photos of D.A Harrisons Scania 141’s? Just seen one at Silloth with bulk tipper trailer.
Also, does anyone have any infomation on Harrisons or there 40 Strong Fleet of Lorries.

Thanks Again

They 141 was driven by Keith Messenger, I thought it was the only 4x2 141 in North ■■■■■■■ however there is a T reg 141 in J & W Watt’s livery on another post. My friend Albert Storey drove a Scania 111 for Harrisons reg no was THH 711S.

Think the 141 was on a “V” plate, I remember passing it on it,s first trip out,( it only stood out to me as they usually bought used 111s) I think it later ended up on it,s side at Thursby pub bend, then repaired and another axle added.

Hello.
A Huge Thankyou goes out to George King and hodgeturbo for there info on Johnston’s of Gilcrux, F Brown & Solway Aggregates.
George, as to your questions over Scotts of Maryport, Yes they still run a JCB Diggers (plus a glass carrier which they bought from the Port of Workington). But I sorry tell you that Scotts never ran a fish van.
P.S. George, the info on H & ME Fearon is also wrong. After seeing your post, I was talking to a mate of mine (Rob Fearon, His Dads cousin ran H & ME Fearon). Rob told me that when Harry Fearon was packing in, John Irving, a Fearon Driver, bought the company, later renaming it John Irving Transport.
Sorry to tell you that yourb info is wrong, but thanks all the same!

Yes their 141 was a V reg, they also had a 111 day cab reg no. HBU 2N and two 111 sleepers a R reg and a S reg.
Can’t remember any other 141’s 4x2 in the area although T Brady had some in the South of the County.

I remember a Scammel unit as well, rough as a dog,s harris  Other 141s Jim Hope from Kirkbride, O’Dell- a subbie at Sealy
