Hello again.
Does anyone have any photos of D.A Harrisons Scania 141’s? Just seen one at Silloth with bulk tipper trailer.
Also, does anyone have any infomation on Harrisons or there 40 Strong Fleet of Lorries.

Thanks Again

Hello again.
Thanks again to Bewick and Stanfield to replying to my last comments. As promised, here is a Scotts of Maryport Foden Alpha Rigid Tipper. This lorry is used on a Allerdale Bourgh Council recycled glass contract taking glass from Allerdales Workington HQ to United Glass Products at Alloa. Scotts have 8 Tippers in all (7 Rigid, 1 Artic) and operate Foden, DAF, ERF & MAN.
Come on, get some more Scotts photos on here before I do!

Hello.
Stanfield, I forgot to tell you that the Browns wagon photos posted were on the auction day. Browns had 35 Lorries and 68 Trailers put into the auction. Ascott Distribution bought most of the Lorries, others going to private hauliers.
Great Photos though!

The Browns Scania thats no in verra good fettle, My first thoughts on seeing it was Mono-Rail but the motor would be better the right way up eh. Eddie.

come on hodge i want to see [ jaspers] golf buggie in the lake you got some pics or what :unamused: :unamused:

Hello There.
Dosen’t anyone like F Brown’s lorries of Cardewless?
Ater looking through the ■■■■■■■■ Companies Pages, I see no referance to Brown’s, a company who I belive, did the ■■■■■■■■ Trucking Scene a lot of good, just like Eddie Stobart did (and still does).
Come on, there must be someone with infomation on Browns and Photos.

And, a First for TruckNet UK, I’m posting a Browns Scania 4 Series Photo!

I think you’ll find you will be wasting your time as there has hardly been any Marras or gadgy’s on the site.I can’t understand it my-self as there will no doubt be a vast amount of “craic” in ■■■■■■■ considering all the hauliers that have populated the county over many years.Maybe the lads are not computer literate(only just my-self) or are shy(I don’t think so!) anyway keep your fingers crossed mate you never know your luck!! I think you’ll find that Browns have appeared on the thread a few times but nothing special.Best of luck, you’ll need it!! Cheers Bewick.

heres yan ove fred browns but its nut a varra good fettle

Talking of Scania accidents, this is the remains of a Ladies hairdressing salon on Kingsway in Rochdale after on of ours went straight through it at 6am one morning! The gadgy next door got slung out of bed and when he got down stairs his front door wouldn’t open eh! jammed solid!!This was the Scania, bought it back off the Insurance for spares! Probably was a bit “too tasty” for JR at the time as he wouldn’t be able to drive it home either,as it had no windscreen!!! Cheers Dennis.

Hello.
Thanks hodgeturbo for putting the Leyland Scotts on. Mike Scott gave me a wooden model of this exact lorry, so it’s really great to see the real one! Have you got any more photos?

Helo again.
Hodgeturbo, is that ERF ECX rigid fairground lorry photo you put on taken at that small layby on the right just inside Risehow Estate?
P.S: Doesn’t Fletchers Fairs of Maryport own that lorry. I sure I seen that at their King Street yard in Maryport?

Hello again.
Does anyone have any info on Geoff Bell (Carlisle)? Seen some of their lorries at Sandysike (Longtown) but don’t know much about them.
Anyone help?

Well Hodge I actually did after our Insurer had re-built her salon to “state of the art” spec(which it defo wasn’t prior to the “demolishion”) I introduced my-self and then got the biggest load of verbal off all three hairdressers!! FFS! Our Insurer had even paid for loss of trade while they were rebuilding! You can’t please everyone,so I just came away shaking my head!! Cheers Dennis.

hiya,
All that demolition and not a lot of damage by comparison to the Scania cab wonder what a fibreglass cab would have looked like after doing that sort of damage, perish the thought eh.
thanks harry long retired.

Hiya “H” maybe if you’d been sat in an Atki you would have come out the otherside still sat behind the wheel with all the cab gone!! Apparently it was a proven fact that drivers had a better survival rate in a fibreglass cab than a steel one.you didn’t get trapped in a fibreglass cab the same as you did in a metal one.Well thats what I was told by the men in the know like! But I can’t say that I could vouch for this fact as we never (luckily) had an Atki or an ERF smashed up that bad.Cheers Dennis.

geoff bell is still running and is run by chris bell his son,the trucks are on bulk haulage, after running tautliners fron both the sandysyke base and runcorn. i think he has three trucks on the road now
